The Streets – Dry Your Eyes Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The most important moments of my life have always felt as if time is moving in slowly. I remember every last detail because at the time, what i'm feeling and looking at is so important. That's what I feel like when I hear this song. To me it's like he's playing and replaying each moment of the breakup in his head still holding out hope she will come back and looking for a clue in the breakup that will indicate she wants him back. But he has to admit that there's nothing in her actions during the breakup that suggests she can be convinced otherwise; she hasn't been mean or hurtful or anythign that would suggest she was just angry and upset and needs to cool down. Instead she has been gentle and soft in how she pulls away from him and all her physical actions in general suggest it's totally over. He has to dry his eyes and move on. His pain and self pity won't make her come back. |
Dave Matthews Band – Busted Stuff Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song reminds me SO MUCH of U2's So Cruel. U2 Song Her skin is pale like God's only dove Screams like an angel for your love Then she makes you watch her from above And you need her like a drug Compared to: Sweet, sugar lips Pushed from the hips You know you look just like love Without a care, she floats above She got me down here looking up Such similar imagery worded so pretty in both songs. Smilar things in other stanzas - and both songs are talking about the same kinda woman. |
