I can't hate on the Parade over the Jason thing and I'm tired of people complaining about it. It's not their fault he ditched them. They've pressed on without him. I'll always support MP. It does sound slightly different from their old stuff, but that's not a bad thing to me. Bands are always evolving, and when a big part of a band leaves...of course they're gonna sound different. The only thing I don't like about this song is the key change at the line "please take me anywhere but here." It just sounds bizarre to me. I can't explain it. Either way, LOVE the new album. |

ITA. I was 16 when this song came out and to this day it is still one of my top favorite songs. I never get sick of it and the screams still give me chills. I remember as a teenager I wanted someone to "know what it is to burn," to have one person who completely gets you. Everything seemed so much more dramatic back then ;) |

A song that's simply about wanting someone to stand by you through anything is just so beautiful. Every time the song comes on and I hear the beginning beat...it just has this way of taking me somewhere else. And if you've seen the movie, it becomes even more powerful. Definitely one of my favorite songs ever. |

I love the chorus as well. "Lets not pretend that it's here, the world that we know disappeared long ago" Love that line. As for the meaning, I think it's about two people trying to get back to the way they were or the feelings they had for one another, but just can't. |

I think a lot of people interpret the song as it being about sex mostly because of Cruel Intentions. Honestly, how many people wouldn't think that if they weren't doing it during the song? lol. I've always thought it was just a love song. A gorgeous song about falling in love for the first time. |

This is still my favorite song. I can listen to it on repeat and never get sick of it. It's the passion in his voice, the lyrics are beautiful, the music is amazing. Just all the right elements work together to make this song so powerful. I think it's been about 7 years, as I was a sophomore in high school, and I still get blown away by it. As for the meaning, I always took it as this person is the only one who gets him, no matter what and vice versa. Just beautiful. |

I'm so sick of people complaining about LP's sound. Bands tweak their sound all the time, heaven forbid they get tired of the same old thing or they want to experiment with something new. This shows off Chester's vocal range, I was blown away. They have done slow songs before, My December is one of my favorite songs by them and that's another mellow one. This song is beautiful. As simple as that. Go listen to some of their more hardcore songs if you're in the mood for that. I love all of it. As for the meaning, I always thought it was about contemplating suicide, not actually doing it. It just sounds so positive towards the end, it gives that feeling of hope. I love the guitar solos in this. |
