this song is nearly about somebody else, not kim, being indecisive, like she keep suggesting things, and he keep knocking them down, so she feels jugded : now you think i'm satan's daughter... should i stay or go is giving the person an ultimatum to make a decision. how ever makes the decision gets blamed for it if something goes wrong, and thats what kim is suffering from. |

i cant tell if "the variable" actually likes this song or is just being sarcastic, but this is kim at her best, the lyrics are memorising and hypnotic and unlike shoot or swimsuite issue this song is less literal, dont get me wrong, those songs are awesome too. |

this isnt even all of the lyrics, which is shit, coz this song is awesome, it's just like a neutral exposition of nyc, hence the name of the album. this is the most atmospheric songs on the album, kind of hypnotic, it's nearly like she is just there observing every little thinbg that happens in a big city. |

this song brings back a kind of sense of nostalgia, like the "good old days" where life was simple, i'm sure it wasnt, but dylan has a fairly negative view on life now, or life when this song was written, and it makes me feel like we are all at some kind of dead end, and the only way to get away from it all is to find your inspiriation, for dylan it was woody. |
