Jack Johnson – Go On Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it's not that he's breaking up with a girl, but that he's dealing with the death of someone he was really close to.
Most of the album was inspired by the death of Danny Riley, Jack's friend who died of cancer.

"But I knew that you were a truth
I would rather lose than to have never lain beside at all"

Jimmy Eat World – A Praise Chorus Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is about living life with no regrets. This guy realizes he hasn't been living his life to the fullest so he decides to start, even at 25.

There are two references to other songs from the 60's and the 80's, tying in with the line, "Now all I need is just to hear a song I know"

"Crimson and clover, over and over" is a line from a song by Tommy James and the Shondells.

"Our house in the middle of the street" is a line from the song Our House by Madness.

Vanessa Carlton – Who's to Say Lyrics 17 years ago
i think this song is about underage marriage. her parents don't accept losing their daughter so young, and they say that she's too young to know what love is. but she stands strong.

"You and I packing up my room"
this is the line that says to me she's getting married, because she's moving out to be with her husband.
