There is a problem with the song being about "losing" Jesus or being distracted for that matter. Likwid Cid was right on this matter, Jesus won't forsake you, and the song is all about being forsaken: "you're never coming back." Jesus will always come back. Written alternatively as, "Jesus will never never come back." So, that is strik one against Jesus theory. Secondly, "I can't see you Getting used to Living in the midst of your perfection" Jesus not getting used to His own perfection? His own powerful, glorious, brilliant perfection?... and He can't get used to it? That makes me think it is about- not a girl,- but another close friend. Another beautiful human being who had all the qualities that the speaker loved, but got envious of. He call them "better then me" and this was the cause of "pushing them [you] away". |

awatts5 is right. :) So the song. Well, at first its basically saying that the main character is wondering if him and his lover's love will go on through the thick and the bad. 'If the money's gone and the future falls Would you walk away?' The answer, it seems, is yes. So their love is dead and the main character wants to go (die) with it. So he whines about if he can survive when the love ius dead and then he thinks about before their love. So, before they went out the main character's lover was heart broken and now he realizes he is in the same place: (I'm in the catacombs of a broken heart- Where you used to be.) When 'she' was in these 'catacombs' he loved her and he still does. (Cause you were desperate and pathetic But just as beautiful to me as the day you left And I became just a memory.) So, now we know that his lover left him for somebody else: (But all I see is you looking at him like you used to look at me) So it sux for him. |

XxkillingmexX, video's mean s***. I could have a Christian rock song but be dressed up as Satan in the video, but does that change the story? No. I could make a Movie Music Video to this song with Stars Wars or Spider-Man, but does that change the story? No. The song is seperate from the video. So, back to the meaning. No cheating. This song is not about cheating. Its about putting on a charade to get/be with a girl. 'And I know that you love someone But that someone isn't me Or is this me?' The main character is refering to himself both times. The charade and himself. Shes in love with his charade- but has the main character trully become his charade? Secrets? maybe... Secrets of his past or what he has done outside of his charade. |

More in-depth interperetation? So, as said before, its obviously a 'I just got braken up with song', but I think it has a little bit of background too. So, the girl went out with the singer and it was obvious she cared for him (her eyes where watering), but then she fell in love withsomebody else (She said:I went and found somebody new). The girl then leaves. The singer is heartbroken. He gave himself/ everything for the girl and now its gone. He also took s*** for her i remember all those, Scars i wear that you carved in me ). Then he feels kindof screwed and can't get the thought out that shes with somebody else. (And i, Can't lie still When theres someone else beside you.) Pretty good 'Break Up' song though. |

I am going with Young and Stupid. The song's about a dude/gal who likes/loves somebody else and is basically .... 'Wait!!! I am going to bisect!
