1st to comment on this song. These aren't the same lyrics as on the basement tapes, which is odd, but there are close enough. Awesome song, and an awesome cover in "im not there" by My morning jacket. |

This is crazy that I'm the first person to comment on this song. First of all the first time I heard it, I was thinking it was kind of lame. Within a day or 2 I couldn't stop playing it. It's a beautiful song with great lyrics, enough said :) |
Bruce Springsteen – Lost In The Flood Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This (and lots of bruce) makes me wish i was a piano player. It's just not perfect for acousitc guitar :( |
The Kinks – Waterloo Sunset Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Anyone who hasn't heard their live version from 1977 (the grey old whistle test) should look for it. It's not hard to find, but it's even slower and ray's voice sounds so cool. One of the best songs ever written for sure :) |
The Kinks – A Well Respected Man Lyrics | 17 years ago |
fun song to sing, and fun on the guitar. This song always sorta reminds me of john lennon's "working class hero" because they are both insanely simple guitar with some cut-throat lyrics |
The Kinks – 20th Century Man Lyrics | 17 years ago |
mrpieeater pretty much spoke my mind. I also can't beleive more ppl don't comment on this song, it's addictive as hell. I also love the guitar in this song. It's unique sounding and is a good exmaple of how versatile their sound is. |
