Actually dense I doubt he's making a reference to a french philosopher. I live in the south, and when I was growing up there was a smart-ass saying if someone asked your name it was "Puddin'taine, ask me again I'll tell you the same" I think there were a few more sayings like that too, but I can't remember them right now. |

Could be about a girlfriend. Maybe. But it's more than likely about a cat, doesn't Neil's parents keep stray cats or something? Thought I read that somewhere. I think it's about a real cat. I had a cat that sounds like the one in this song, should would occasionally go completely insane and run full speed through the house knocking stuff over so I would let her out to let her work off some of that energy before she destroyed my house. When she came back in she always ran to the food dish then sat at my feet till I picked her up. I loved that cat, but she got hit by a car. :( R.I.P. Cheetoe |

| A friend I went to school with got me listening to Project 86, and he told me that this song was the singers testimony. The story he told me went that they were a secular band (or at least didn't know Jesus) when they started and the singer took some acid and started freaking out over a wind chime outside, he thought it was the devil coming to get him. Anyway, that would explain the chorus. | |
