this was released as a double A side with the song hyper music, and their vids are very similar... not sure if this has anything to do with the meaning absolutely awesome cover |
Muse – Time Is Running Out Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i have a strange way of looking at it... perhaps its about someone who has made something (not sure what) which is both wonderful and horrible at the same time. the person loves it and in the first couple of verses is talking to it. then for the chorus it changes views and he is talking to someone else who wants to get rid of it, but he has decided at that point that he wants to keep it... it continues like this. he keeps contridicting himself because he doesn't know what to do. the thing is both good and bad, hence the lines 'you're something beautiful, a contradiciton' an awesome song though |
Muse – Glorious Lyrics | 17 years ago |
heres a new outlook on the song: perhaps its about war? the 'we too could be glorious' could possibly be talking about him and his soldiers becoming heroes or becoming immortalised. the 'rose tinted view, and satellites that compromise the truth' could be talking about the media and the rest of the world downsizing how horrible war is, and that they dont understand. 'cuts and bruises' would be talking about him getting killed in the war, and it follows on into 'touch my face, a hopeless embrace' that he has tried to go to heaven, but relised that because he took part in the war he cant get there, hence 'hopeless'. i know muse are normally aethiest, but it could be what its about. |
Muse – Sing for Absolution Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i agree with steppingonshadows, and i also agree with koinkoin. but this song sort of is rather ironic. in other muse songs, they are very very aethiest, but in this song they are 'singing for absolution'. absolution is when the priest forgives all of your sins... its quite strange. beautiful song though |
Muse – You Fucking Motherfucker Lyrics | 17 years ago |
