Mat Kearney – Crashing Down Lyrics 17 years ago
Things are changing. The world isn't what it used to be. Life is getting more difficult. The one he's devoted to will get him through. The one he's devoted to is the one constant in his life, even when the rest of the world is crashing down around him. Why be away from that? What's the point of pursuing his dream if he's going it alone?

Ari Hest – You're The Only One Lyrics 17 years ago
She loves him unconditionally, yet he's not quite there. He's looking for something else (I'd say not another person but a thing or life), and he can't give up his search. He knows she's the one for him, that someday she'll be all he needs, but until then he needs her to be patient while he arrives at that day.

Ari Hest – Fascinate You Lyrics 17 years ago
He can't meet her approval no matter how hard he tries. She says it, he does it, and then she's still not satisfied. But despite that he'll continue to try to please her until he finally figures it out, because in the end all she'll need is someone to love her. And though he can't "fascinate" her, he's fully capable of loving her.

Ari Hest – Someone To Tell Lyrics 17 years ago
And in turn he'll help her find herself, as well. Then they'll both have someone to tell -- each other.

And to add to that, he's coming out, and it won't mean anything if he doesn't have someone to share it with and validate it all. If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one around to hear it, does it make a sound? If he steps outside the box and there's no one around to witness it, has anything really changed?

Ari Hest – Anne Marie Lyrics 17 years ago
In Ari's own words:

"This song is about trying to maintain a relationship with someone who argues a lot better than you do."

I think there's a little more going on in this song than that, but that's the basic meaning.

Josh Kelley – Just Say The Word Lyrics 17 years ago
This song isn't so much about unrequited love as it is "I'll always be there for you." They loved one another, and though they weren't right or are no longer right for each other, that doesn't change the fact that he'll always be there when she needs him. Kind of like "Lean On Me" but more poetic.
