OH GOD! some PEOPLE! seroisly so many people are so stupid. LOOK. This song is really great, it has a great feelgood vibe and is very Arctic monkeys in their funky offbeat way. yeah its a little mix of SKA, Funk, Rap and Britpop but then turns into their new type of sond: QOTSA colliding into The Specials. AMAZING. Ok now ill tell u about the meaning. Yes this song is about fame and reflective on the media, but really: its no bad thing. Its DEFINatly NOT sucking up to ANYONE. meerly it is partly cathartic on their obvious hatred of the media, and a warning to us about how journelists are crap. Look, how many songs have AM written about everyday life and their own lives? 20? 25? 30? and how many songs have they written about fame and media? 3 is the number i count: Teddy Picker, Vampires and this. thats it. Ok now the 'BOX' means a TV for all the idiots out there, and the Christopher Columbus is obviosly a dig at the idea of anyone disocovering something NEW, wheter it be music, a type of sound, or whatever. Ok the songs is not their best but hey, the Kocks (KOOKS) or Razorshite would kill for a tune like this. |
