To me this is a kid's song to their parents. Parents are always trying to mold their kids to their own tastes, what they want them to be, without any regard for what the kid wants. The kid tried to be their parents' idea of perfect, but that just isn't how they are, and it didn't work for them. So, they're telling their parents that they' can't go on living the lives their parents planned for them, and that they're better off doing what they want, even if it isn't so great. |

Yea, this song is towards the media for blaming Marilyn Manson for the Columbine incident. There's another version of this song with Marilyn Manson on it, so that makes interpreting this song a hell of a lot easier.

To me, this is a best friend situation. The girl is with a dickhead who mistreats her. The boy in the best friend relationship is always there for her, and has feelings for her. He's afraid to tell her though, and is content with just helping her out, even tho he knows he wants more. He knows the girl for who she really is, because she tells him everything. He knows she isn't happy, hence the broken smile, and he wants to make her happy and feel loved. He's afraid to take the next step because he's afraid it might ruin their friendship for some reason.
And have any of you thought that standing on her corner might just be outside her house? |

To me, this is to his Mom. I mean, it's only logical...the song starts off with his Mom calling him. I think it's about how he feels towards her, feeling bad about himself for not turning out how he thinks she wanted him to, even though she's very proud of him. And for him not being there for her even though she's always there for him. |

When a girl loses her virginity, it usually hurts them. They heal though, and are fine. The part about not forgetting. Ya know how they say, "You don't forget your first time"? I think that's what it's referring to. |
