Crystal Castles – Vanished Lyrics | 13 years ago |
It sounds like, "hungry for strength," not "strays"...would make more sense I think lol. |
Midnight Oil – Surf's Up Tonight Lyrics | 15 years ago |
God, this song is amazing. One of the most relaxing songs to listen to, makes me happy every time and it never gets old. We need more songs like this. |
Kings of Convenience – Failure Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Jimmy Eat World – Polaris Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Ahh bestwombat, my bad. Haha. |
Jimmy Eat World – Polaris Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love the reference to this song in the song "Konstantine," by Something Corporate. "It's to Jimmy Eat World and those nights in my car When the first star you see may not be a star I'm not your star Isn't that what you said What you thought this song meant " |

Something Corporate – Konstantine Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I have no idea if someone has said this already, because I'm way too lazy to go through 60-something pages, haha. So if you have, my apologies in advance. I think the Jimmy Eat World reference in this song has to do with an actual song by them, "Polaris." (Which is a CRAZY BEAUTIFUL song by the way, if anyone wants to check it out.) "Polaris" was titled after the first star you see in the sky. It has been in debate whether or not the song was actually written about the star, or an actual person, because the lyrics could go either way. The star is always the first thing in the night sky - a constant. Konstant. Konstantine. "When the first star you see may not be a star I'm not your star Isn't that what you said What you thought this song meant" Seems pretty probable to me. =] Here's the link to the "Polaris" songmeanings page if you want to check it out: http://www.songmeanings.net/lyric.php?lid=3530822107858509064 |
Daughtry – It's Not Over Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Exactly, mudstaind. It's a direct ripoff. Freaking annoying, I can't listen to this song without hearing Fuel in my mind. Which I why I don't listen to this song. |
Chris Daughtry – It's Not Over Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Has anyone noticed how much this song fits with Fuel's Hemmorage? Sing "It's not Over" to "Hemmorage." It fits perfectly. Just thought it would be worth mentioning. The harmonies are almost a direct ripoff. No wonder it's not a bad song. |
The Presets – Girl and the Sea Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Those first two verses? They explain my love of the ocean SO well. Gah, I love this song. *sigh* |
Vertical Horizon – Underwater Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Stormchaser summed it up perfectly. This song is so amazingly beautiful. |
Powderfinger – Waiting For The Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Love this song. So much. |
Men at Work – Down By The Sea Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Yeah, this song is amazing. I love the part at the beginning where the notes just seem to flow together. It's a really good song to drift off to, every time I hear it while I'm lying awake in bed I always seem to fall asleep right before the last verse. *grin* |
Phantom Planet – Always On My Mind Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is so cute. I wish a guy sent this song to me. It's almost too catchy to listen to every day, because it will get in your head and not get out. But somehow, I always find myself listening to it randomly. It's a good song, though, so it's alright. (haha, harry potter... wow, you make me laugh. thankies for brightening my day.) |
Dexter Freebish – Twilight Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I LOVE THIS SONG SOOO MUCH!! If they ever made "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer into a movie, this should definitely be the main theme. There's even "new moon" in the lyrics, which is the title of her second book in the series. (Read it if you haven't already, it's a great book.) "When the new moon rises and we're put to the test" is perfect for that book, I swear. This is definitely one of my favorite songs ever. |
Boys Like Girls – Thunder (Demo) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I am in LOVE with this song. The first time I heard it, i thought it was nice, but then coming back to it a second and a third... I fell in love. Seriously though, it made me cry. A lot, considering that I can relate. I definitely agree with headoverheels. I would die as well if a guy sang this to me. *dreamy eyes* |
