Beck – Sexx Laws Lyrics | 17 years ago |
^NO, YOUR MOM IS PURE FILTH. THIS SONG IS AMAZING. |
Beck – Debra Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I don't care if this song is biting social commentary that much. Just that it's hilarious, and also how Beck is amazing. |
Deerhoof – Panda Panda Panda Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is totally deep. It's about pandas. Heavy stuff, right? But seriously. I love this song with all my heart. |
The Hush Sound – Honey Lyrics | 17 years ago |
God, I can't either. Sounds like tough love to me. |
The Hush Sound – Crawling Towards The Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Q: BOBOBOBOBOB! is 'Crawling towards the sun' about your fear of leaving the house? I sometimes make attempts of figuring out what songs mean. i know 'Out through the curtan' is but in 'crawling towards the sun' I think theres a few refrences (asked by mindy) A: no... its about a different situation in which i felt underappreciated and decided to go out on my own. (answered by bob) Yeah... |
The Hush Sound – City Traffic Puzzle Lyrics | 17 years ago |
What I get from it is that the narrator is in a state of unrequited love, and he feels lost and cold and overwhelmed like you do in a big city you don't know and you get lost, hence the metaphor. |
The Hush Sound – Carry Me Home Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with noseovertail, but with him saying he "Can't carry [himself]", like he's so overloaded with burden he needs someone to "carry [him] home." |
The Hush Sound – A Dark Congregation Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Elmochild, I believe it actually is about Eileen, or someone else. Either way, it is about the death and funeral of one of Greta's close friends. And for the people thinking We Intertwined and A Dark Congregation are connected, it doesn't make much sense because they're written by two different people. Also, We Intertwined is about a dream Bob had. |
The Hush Sound – The Market Lyrics | 17 years ago |
On the last chorus, it's "Worth more in francs than it is in our banks", even though that's not what he sings on the album. It's in the lyrics. |
The Hush Sound – Sweet Tangerine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's about stalking. Yeah. Or a ho that cut off Bob's toe. |
The Hush Sound – The Artist Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It seems to me like the narrator is in love with this guy who has dark feelings in him that he can only let out on his (literal or metaphorical) canvas. He sees the narrator in the way that he wants to, not that she really is, as delicate and fragile, when she has a bolder personality that he doesn't want to see ("You painted me in pastels, colors that don't tell of any boldness, cause that's the way you love to see me, so delicate, so weak, so little purpose."). I dunno. That's just how I see it. |
The Hush Sound – Out Through The Curtain Lyrics | 17 years ago |
According to Bob (who wrote the song), it was about a time in his life when he was scared to leave the house for a long time because of "this bigger kid beating the crap out of me." |
The Hush Sound – Echo Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It feels like there's two people that are....losing each other, but the "you" in the song is the one that holds her down, even if he forgets her. Maybe it has something to do with the Greek myth of Echo, a nymph who (basically) fell in love with a man who was in love with his own reflection and didn't notice her, hence the "for history's sake would you please take notice." Either way, it's a beautiful song. |
Ima Robot – Creeps Me Out Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Actually it says on their site that it's about a member of theband and his "groupie/stalker girlfriend." By the way, how awesome is this song? |
