I think it specifically is directed towards her not caring about coming off too strong, the nice things she does are out of love and she could care less if she's neglecting the hard to get approach. And he, unlike some guys, isn't at all turned away by this. This theory came to mind at the sweater part; it's not typically a female role to provide an item of clothing for the guy. Unless she's talking in his perspective, but I doubt this. |

Greetings in Braille, should describe everything 'cause you can't see anything from here. From here, you can't see nothing at all. Everything is pretty straight foward, but a lot of my friends with really shitty music taste laugh at the main line. As if it's stupid. It's not, and it says a lot very metaphorically. Obviously, memories are equivalent to getting descriptions through something as undescriptive as braille. |

I thought pfarabee hit the nail on the head in implying this pertained to the often disapointing journey in figuring out life. I thought of "far above our heads are the icy heights that contain all reason" To translate to a higher power, for example God. Far above would signify the inability to grasp the concept of God, the icy heights for me described the cold, untangible way God becomes in peoplpes life, and how ironic it is that such a being posesses the answers that we are all expected to abide by. "hold your glass up, hold it in never betray the way you've always known it is. one day i'll be wondering how i got so old just wondering how i never got cold wearing nothing in the snow." This mocks peoples tendencies to refrain from questioning everything and anything and instead learning from everyone elses words. I also think he's questioning his own character and vices, and emphasizing how pointless it is of him to merely question it rather than rectify or explore. Other than that, my thoughts are carbon copies of pfarabees. And i love the Tyler Durden reference. Palahnuik is amazing. |

I don't think anyone pointed this out, maybe as it's really obvious, but, "how else could you tie my head to the sky" jumped out at me immediatly to say that his head is in the clouds, so to speak. As in, he's oblivious yet content to be infatuated with her, although he still has some speculating hunches. |

I agree with the whole adderall theory. "I'm through with these pills that make me sit still" that's often a complex those taking adderall develope. But, to expound, "Give me a reason to end this discussion" those on adderall tend to be significantly less social, and bothered by conversing, when on the medication. " 'Cause I hate the ocean, theme parks and airplanes, Talking with strangers, waiting in line " Adderall can also make crowded places unbearable, and waiting for things without keeping oneself busy seems near impossible to do. "I'm sick of the things I do when I'm nervous Like cleaning the oven or checking my tires Or counting the number of tiles in the ceiling" Adderall causes people to do obsessive, compulsive, pointless things to make them feel busy or accomplished. "I used to rely on self-medication I guess I still do that from time to time" The dependency on adderall is bothering him, and he can't understand why he can't do things on his own that he once could. "But I'm getting better at fighting the future" Hopes that he can function without the med. "Away with the process of healing relations I don't want to waste your time" I've heard this from countless adderall users, myself included, that when on adderall people can't stand their significant others. Any person who is constantly around you begins to annoy you, and he is forewarning someone of this. |
