You spit out a lot of statistics, In my opinion dubious statistics. In my experience, statistics can be misleading, even if 100% true. you have to look to your own life experiences and reality to understand things. I shouldn't even have to explain this to people, but we're all human... I have Black friends, Mexican friends, Asian friends. They all have the capacity of reason and goodness that all humans do. I urge you to look at the issue of race from this perspective. Maybe African Americans are more crime prone because of poverty and inequality that have been pressed on them by historical institutions and prejudices. If, perhaps, there is an experience in your life which prompts your racist views(hopefully the term racist isn't offensive to you, you are by definition) forgive them and realize the historical, economic and social intricacies which may have caused it, not the minor biological difference of skin tone. |

thanks a lot for the mason dixon line background. it goes with a thought ive been having. We(USA) say we have a perfect domestic country, which is pretty damn nice ill admit, but we forget that we are enslaving a couple billion other human beings in the process. kinda like the north enjoying the textile industry but ignoring the fact that the cotton is coming from southern slaves. If there is someway to seperate the injustice from yourself, you try to and let it continue. |

i think you guys have it all wrong, its of course more a commentary on the intolerance and irrationality, but also about the legal system, but because $60 is too LITTLE. needlessly putting people at harm just to prove your tough... TO A LAWN MOWER deserves like a year in jail.(mabye a bit less) |

While the song is about military fucking up soldiers, i think that a good perspective would be a more whollistic one. Seriously, die for your government? the idea is rediculous. it doesnt matter if your a modern american soldier in iraq , a nazi SS member or a member in napoleans army. napolean said some thing like "do you think a man would die for half pence a day? you must speak to the soul in order to electrify him". (I'm just remebering that qoute could be wrong). It makes no sense to go to fight for your country and the song could be about rejecting the nationalist militarist idea that lets this happen |
