I always thought instead of "you don't have to be the old to board a sin" it was "you don't have to be the altar boy to sing", which fits in with the whole "there's a first time for everything." Like, you don't have to be one of the people on show to join in and participate in anything, even just life. Just a thought |

I think it's about a girl that used to be herself, but as she grew up she got sucked into being in one of the cliques she was surrounded by. Also, does the line "on your knees trying to appease somebody's mixed up statement" sound sexual to anyone else? Like, she was told she was frigid so she was "down on her knees", so to speak, to try and prove them wrong. So, it's just about peer pressure in general? I don't know, that's just always what it made me think of. Great song =] |

I think the song just means that someone that he loved has "sold out" and become what everyone else wanted instead of staying themselves. And now it broke his heart because they're no longer everything they were, what he loved.

I love the line about spilling the apple juice in the hall. It's so different to the other lines, which seem bluntly depressing, but it's like, looking back at something that has happened before, that made you laugh like crazy then, but now just makes you even sadder, remembering it. I think this songs about suicide and i dunno if anyone else has said that, i cbf going thru all 8 pages
It's like someone is watching someone else they love want to die, and it hurts so bad that at first you thnk it will go away, but it doesnt, it gets worse, and then you try to talk to them, but instead of letting you in they push you away. And even though deep down you know it's hopeless, you keep on trying to get through to them, but in the end you lose because they kill themself, and it leaves you there wondering if there was anything more you could have done and hating yourself for every second you wasted not trying to help them. and then it feels like nothing will ever get better, and you'll never forget and forgive yourself for not saving that one life... |
