Pavement – Best Friend's Arm Lyrics 16 years ago
I really wish someone could figure out what the lyrics to this are :( I don't think Malkmus even remembers, though. Also, there's a live version of it, a much slower and less hectic version at that, but the lyrics he sings in that are clearly being made up on the spot and sound nothing like the fragments I can understand in the original version :( I guess the world will just never know what's really said on the original version of this fabulous song

Modest Mouse – Dashboard Lyrics 17 years ago
Yeah, IM Santa and Blewandowski are 3 billion percent right. Music's just there, when you think about it, every song's a good one, they all just apply and appeal to different people. I love this song, and everything I've heard from this band.

I think the song, like most people who said what they thought, is just an optimistic outlook on life. Isaac's windshield is broken, but does it matter to him? He loves the Fresh air-oh. Things go wrong, but you just gotta think of how much worse it could have turned out. It's never as bad as it seems at the moment.

Can't wait for the rest of the album! Johnny Marr from the Smiths, Electronic, The The, and The Healers is playing on it! How exciting!!

Pavement – For Sale: The Preston School of Industry Lyrics 17 years ago
There was a place called Preston School of Industry around Stockton California. It later became the name for Spiral Stairs' (Scott Kannberg) new band. This song was written on a dutch television program, and the lyrics, to me, were just about the place, and a quick fix for a need of lyrics. Love the song.
