Paul McCartney – You Tell Me Lyrics

note Paul expressing his love for animals (and, of course, animal rights) by referencing to a variety of creatures, such as "cardinals," "honeybee[s]," "butterflies," and even the rare and mysterious "hummingbirds." |

Aww I entered this song and had it approved in April or May... I don't know why they deleted it.
But I love this song. At one point I was totally obsessed with it and couldn't stop listening to it over and over. |

I love this song, it's definitely one of my favorites on NMW. The piccolo/flute (whatever it is, I play flute but can't tell) is great in the song. By the way, is it really shake it out? I always thought it was check it out. |

The Apples in Stereo – Sunday Sounds Lyrics
| 17 years ago

This is what I got:
The city silence, it screams in ways I've never even dreamed
I want to the other side and feel the grease
You walked in circles and every time you've come in through this town
You fell to pieces remembering the Sunday sounds
How do we ever leave here? How do we let it go?
I'll never learn to sleep there, that's why we let it go
It's not contagious, but people walk around us in a dream
The notes are long and the hours pass so slow it seems
??? the ??? so ghosts can leave with ??? for a while
They've got ??? life and the sunlight goes a thousand miles
CHORUS:
How do we ever leave here? How do we let it go?
I'll never learn to sleep there, that's why we let it go
CHORUS x2 |

I've heard in a bunch of places that it's OF MONTREAL MACH 2 not Mark 2. Especially on the E6 Townhall, and they usually know what they're talking about. |

I pretty much can't stand this song. *laughs* But it was one of the sample songs that came with my computer and I've been going through all the music on my computer and I'm trying to get the lyrics of every song on my computer on SongMeanings. Most are already here, but this one wasn't so what the heck. |

Death Cab for Cutie – Flustered/Hey Tomcat! Lyrics

Yeah I was very bored the other day and lately I've been trying to figure out lyrics to any songs that there are no lyrics to ever since I found out the lyrics to "Dustin Hoffman Does Not Resist Temptation to Eat the Bathtub" by Of Montreal (my favorite band). Yeah I always thought I was horrible at deciphering lyrics until then but finding out the lyrics to this song was really really difficult. I got the people over at the official DCFC lyrics to proofread for me like I did with "Dustin Hoffman..." so they're better than they would be if I just went straight to submitting them. This song doesn't annoy me I like it a lot. |

I agree with everyone else and I love this song. It does sound very Postal Service-esque but I like it a lot. It's so catchy! |

I'm pretty sure I got most of the lyrics right, and the E6 Townhall people kind of proofreaded it for me so it should be pretty much right.
For those of you who downloaded the pre-Cherry Peel songs, this is the final version of "Garden Gate World". The song is actually called "Let Out a Final Gasp of Hope" though, so the "Garden Gate World" thing was just someone else's interpretation of the lyrics, when most of us at the Townhall think it's actually "darling gay world". |
