this song is so deep. as you can see, he's feeling the after effect from something such as a break up or a woman leaving him. "But I know it's too late I should have given you a reason to stay" the line is amazing, of how he describes how he's sulking in melancholy. lovvvve it. |

| i love that sufjan sings about such a cliche feeling as hatred to a step parent of some sort. although the feeling is somewhat cliche, the generic idea of the song is not. one of my favorites by him. | |
