I remember sitting on the beach in Teignmouth listening to this track. It was also the first one I learned on piano. Since then I've been sad enough to transcribe them all pretty much. Such a moving song. |

This is such a wonderful song! How could it be left as a B-side when it's one of his best songs ever? It would have fitted so nicely into the 'wind in the wires' album. I would have had it instead of 'the libertine' but that's just cause it's the only Wolf song I'm not particularly keen on.... |

Ahhh I remember me and a few friends requested this song at his gig. He played it on his ukulele and broke 2 of the strings in doing so. He also didn't have any replacements bless him...felt kinda guilty... |

I was lucky enough to see Patrick perform this at the Union Chapel just before christmas and he explained how he wrote the tune in his bedroom and was really proud of it but then he was told about his grandmothers passing and he wrote the lyrics about that. It's such a beautiful touching song.... Wonderful Wonderful wolf... |
