Great song, but the version of Heathen Chemistry I bought is a reissue from 2009 and I guess it was recorded and pressed without sufficient supervision because the back cover lists the song's title as "a of nature"...and it looks completely ridiculous |

This river is wild is an awesome song. This song, however, is not particularly oustanding and may be the weakest on the album. Spaceman, Neon Tiger, I Can't Stay and Dustland Fairytale (to name a few) are easily better. |

hats off to ashowofhands..gutsy considering this song isn't horrible. However, my brother once remaked that the prominent riff in this song (which can also be heard on stay young, albeit slowed down) sounded like something you would hear on the disney channel. It's a nice optimistic song but it's hard to get that comment out of my head as I suppose it's a ridiculously poppy song |

all these years later, it's funny to think this is considered among the worst material oasis ever put out. I wonder how it will be assessed years from now. Even now, I would have to say this a great song. It's probably the best one on BHN. With that said, BHN isn't all that bad..it just isn't music i suppose. But this song really works. This is probably my favourte george harrison song of all time (including his beatle compositions). I have always considered it a love song rather than something with spiritual or religious undertones. On another note, I'll never understand why it just gets written off as a simple pop song. For instance, it was not played at the concert for bangladesh or the concert for george. I can understand their reasoning with bangladesh, but what is life definitely should have been acknowledged in the latter show. It's a beautiful song and a true testament of george's songwriting and analytical perception (for those who believe this song has spiritual undertones). |

For me, this is probably the catchiest song on Innuendo. To be fair, I haven't given it a thorough listen and have become accustomed to the singles to the point where i appreciate them less. But what a great song. Freddie's vocals are excellent. And as far as I know, Brian pretty much wrote this track. |
