Nobuo Uematsu – Song of prayer Lyrics 16 years ago
well, seems pretty straight forward to me - no hidden satanic messages, just a reflection of the yevonites feelings about their faith - praise be to yevon, etc etc

thaks modernaudery, i couldn't have out it better myself - hendrix wasnt just a stoner, but a very talented msician and often a deep lyricist

Streetlight Manifesto – 9mm and a Three Piece Suit Lyrics 16 years ago
kalnoky uses a lot of heist and gangster themes in his songs (everything went numb, keasbey nights, point/counterpoint etc), does anyone know if there is any particular significance in it? or does he just like that kind of scene?

Streetlight Manifesto – The Big Sleep Lyrics 16 years ago
lol actually i agree with jerseyboy completely, but the great thing about streetlight from the point of view of an english student is that kalnoky's lyrics can be easily manipulated to fit what you want them to, in this case i needed to write about war, so i chose this song, and did really well with it, but you're right in saying that it's not , strictly speaking about war.

Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution – They Provide The Paint... Lyrics 16 years ago
SM and BOTAR changed my life, i think he should definitely write a book. if everyone thought more like kalnoky the world would be a better place *sigh* why is it that musical geniuses like him struggle their entire careers and losers like billie joe armstrong coast on easy street? ill never understand the music industry.

Streetlight Manifesto – Day In, Day Out Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is about tomas himself havnig an intense dislike for the world and its workings (if anyon hasnt pickd up on that, thn they've never listened to streetlight manifesto before) and feels he has genuine and good reasons for hating the world, and hates others that do like him without reason, like a rich persom with a great deal of frinds and a smooth easy life complaining to him about how difficult their life is (yes i am speaking partially of emos) and how he has it easy, when in fact, tomas is th one who through his whole life has had it difficult, but still tries to make the most of his life. This song is about him having no patience for whiners anymore. I could b just grasping at straws, but thats what this song means to me n e way

THIS SONG IS BRILLIANT! Tomas's lyrics at their absolute best so much passion..... i passed this song off as an anti-war song for an english assignment just recently and got full marks for it hahahaha (this of course is a load of bull, because although there may be anti-war sentiments in this song, any streetlight manifesto fan knows better than to take their lyrics at face value) I think the beauty of this song is that, like many of tomas's songs, everyone can relate to some part of the song, because his phenomonally lyrical writing style can touch everyone in a different way. In addition to what abnormallity said- all of tomas lyrics should be tacked OVER the mona lisa, and all the other art in the lourve, most of which is nothing compard to this song. Man i hop they tour in Australia after they finish their new album- i would kill th ntire population of my country to see them live
