to all ev-fans: I'm sorry, but with ben's "disappearence", evanescence SUCKS. i'm really sorry. but look, i was a real ev-fan, i just loved their stuff. but then amy changed, wanted to have the power and everything, and ben left. and without ben evanescence isn't evanescence anymore. what i don't understand is why the hell doesn't amy go on solo? she always wants the whole attention! tss!
Um, maybe if you put your crack down and actually looked at some of the songs Ben tried to make without Amy you'll see why he cant go solo. Helping Avril Lavigne and Anastasia suck ass, nice. |

I think almost everybody hit it. Though I doubt it's so much being happy about depression as it is feeling special because of depression. Everyone wants to feel special in some way, even if it means that your special feature is having experienced more pain than others. Though I cant speak for Amy, I can speak for myself in saying that I've wasted a year refusing to let myself be happy and hurt myself and the people around me in the process :( Yah, so for the people reading this, do something with your life instead of grieve for yourself because in every case but one, someone has always seen worse. |

Um, Christiangoth likes to write? I agree with the suicide aspect of this song, which was what attracted my confused little self back in the day to this song. The 2002 version in Not for Your Ears demo album was by far the most beautiful version with its latin chanting intro. There was pretty much a different version on each of the older albums (Origin, Sound Asleep...), this song pretty much is Evanescence. |

Ok, lorany is spewing idiot juice. Have you ever even heard Even in Death? Because it sounds just as much as Snow White Queen as it does all of Eva's other songs. Aside from that, Amy also confirmed to multiple magazines that this song is indeed about her stalker.
On a different note, going into this genre of music with such a beautiful voice, you better expect stalkers. Dont get me wrong, I adore Amy, but deep lyrics like these (not this song in partcular) can and will attract phsychos. |
