To me, this song is about any struggle. Anything in your life people are telling you you can't do, or you can't survive, this is the song that proves everyone wrong. This is about not giving up, no matter how many people pull you down and say you can't win this, you can't even fight the battle. It's the ultimate inspirational song. Just listening to it makes me feel like I can do anything and prove the whole world wrong. I haven't heard a song like that in a while :) |

I've never heard a song that the music and lyrics went so well together. Because the verses are so calm and composed. Then you get to the chorus, and its crazy and loud. I think another thing no one has mentioned is everyone loves her current boyfriend, and she feels like she's living up to everyone's expectations. Because her ex maybe wasn't as liked by the parents or friends, so she feels as if trying to get back with her ex would be letting down too many people. So she wants to stay safe and make everyone happy, while protecting her heart from all the pain again. |

| To me, this song is about first loves and learning to move on, and realizing there's a lesson with the pain. Because in the beginning the mom is telling her to go out and meet boys and make mistakes, then she meets the boy and her friends are telling her not to lose it yet, because they know it won't work. then at the end she realizes she's got to leave him because she's "already gone" from the relationship. i loooove this song, i've been looking for a way to put it on my iPod, but all the versions i can download is where its playing on grey's anatomy, and you can hear all the things going on in the show and the song is sort of in the background =/ any suggestions? by the way, taylor swift is absolutely amazing. |

i first saw this song on someones myspace. and i listened to it. and at first i didnt like it, i didnt listen to the words until it said "Remember when we talked about where we'd be a year from now?" and i put it on my computer and listened to it again. and i listened to every word. at the very beginning of the song i started bawling. it relates to me so well its scary. and how it says "in ten weeks you shaped it" is the really weird part because thats how long me and my ex went out the second time we started going out. but i cry everytime i hear this song. it is veryyy touching. |
