Punkkid6312 - I'm pretty sure they say tie the mattress to your back because he is saying that she is cheating on him and so shes always on her back on beds for different guys so he is saying that she should just tie a mattress to her back because she is just going to end up on her back on another guys bed anyways. |

This song isn't about suicide or girlfriends or anything like that. John is making fun of the lead singer from TBS because he sucks at writing songs. The 'repetition leaves an impression' part is making fun of how TBS ends almost every song...they just repeat one line over and over. And the lead singer of TBS was trying to write a song and he asked John 'whats another word for desperate' which is the name of the song. He is making fun of TBS |
