i LOVE this Song! it's about a guy whos realtionship is going down the drain, and he's wondering where it went wrong. it's phisically impossible not to dance to this song. and i agree with agirlnamedgoo, the best line is "I treat you a likea princess, but your life is just one big mess." :DDD |

its about how she's grown up with these stories of women that spend thier whole life searching for the right guy and once they find him they live happily ever after, but life doesn't happen that way and this is her theory on what happened after the fairy tale ended. "cause i don't care for you fairytales you're so worried bout the maiden though you know she's only waiting on the next best thing" means that everybody watches the woman in the story, but she thinks that she's just settling for prince charming and that she really doesn't want to be with him, but instead is looking for the "next best thing". "once upon a time in a faraway kingdom man made up a story said that i should believe him go and tell your white knight that he's handsome in hindsight but i don't want the next best thing so i sing and hold my head down and i break these walls round me can't take no more of your fairytale love" means that men make up these stories and tell people to accept that this is how society should be, but sara says that you should go tell you man that "you love him" and "he completes you" and other clique things like that but she doesn't want that sort of thing, so she breaks those walls down (meataphor for those expectations) and goes to find what she wants. "worry bout the maiden though you know she's only waiting spent the whole life being graded on the sanctity of patience and a dumb appreciation but the story needs some mending and a better happy ending cause i don't want the next best thing" means that those sort of women are being constantly watched and judged by how patient they are and that's how they get apprectiated, but sara thinks that the story needs some work done and a different ending, because she doesn't want that sort of thing. :D |

hmm. to me this song talks about a guy who's too emotional and she's telling him to "bottle it up" and just say what he has to say (Get down to the heart of it). also he keeps telling her i love you and of course she has to say it back (Don’t make me tell you again my love love love love). then he changes somehow (as you start to make room for the parts That aren’t you it gets harder to bloom in a garden of love ) and she finds it hard to love him and but she'll go with it for love (I do it for Love). i'm not sure but i think that in the third part he gets sentimental again and she want's him to shut up and keep to his part of the bargain [maybe a deal that she made with him to stop being emotional and she'll stay in the realtionship ?] and that he's suffocating her with his emontional love his emotionalness get worse and worse (Started as a flicker meant to be a flame) and even though she's used to it, it still bugs her (Skin has gotten thicker but it burns the same). she's still new at this realtionship thing and she knows she might have to break up with him (Still a baby in a cradle got to take my first fall) but she can't seem to ( Baby’s getting next to nowhere with a back against the wall) He tries to make things better and fix up the problems but just ended up makeing things worse (You meant to make me happy make me sad, Want to make it better better so bad) he promises to stop being emotional but she knows he's not going to follow through and doesn't wanna hear it (But save your resolutions for your never new year) she finally realizes that there's only one thing she can do, leave him (There is only one solution I can see here) at the end she says to him that he's all she ever needed but he shouldn't have to change for her and there's only one thing worth tryin to be [yourself] (Love you’re all I ever could need only one good thing worth trying to be) she loves him but it's not working out so instead of being stupid and tring to change him, she's going to leave [for love] and what goes around comes around (Oh, only gonna get get what you give away, so give love, love) :D |

to me this song's about how she's in a realtionship with a guy and it's kinda dying so the guy wants her to write him a love song to prove she still loves him (make or break, if you're on your way). she's not going to write him one becuase she doesn' belive that one love song will make this realtionship last forever.... yay sara! i luv your music! |

it's about people that try too hard to be something. the first paragraph is about a girl thats obsessed with her body and the way it looks and she goes to the gym all that time and tries to find out what the new fads are in the magazines (US or People). She spends lotsa money on Rodeo (Rodeo Drive of course) and she's always chasin after famous people and trin to hard to hook up with them. the second paragrapgh is about a guy that was born with money and he was rich, but he wanted to be like a celebrity, but he couldn't plays sports well so since he couldn't rap like a rap star, he just acted like it. he'd by expensive cars, drink certain drinks becuase Big was doin it, wear fur in the summer to show that he could afford it (even though it was hot), and show skin on his myspace so people would add him. Basically he shamed himself by actin like that and people woulda liked him if he didn't try so hard. So those two got together and though they put on a show for other people and acted like they were happy, the relationship was dead becuase they tried too hard. that's my take on it :D oh and it's not "Since God was in, he was in the driving course" it's "Since golf was in, he was in the driving course" I |

it's about a a girl sayin that no matter what the guy buys for her, she's not his hoe, and she's not gonna give it up to him, and the guy's kinda sayin that she owes it to him, and asking why she didn't call him back yes i know that she says "Like I'm some kind of hoe" and this contradicts the way she dances in the video she also basically calls the other girls in the group hoes when she says "Baby, please, I'm fine, I'm not one of these hoes" but my favorite parts in the song would have to be when she says "Dropped down his jeans like I'm supposed to drop to my knees " when she kinda yodels, and right before timbaland says "Hey, let me talk to you for a minute" and one of the girls says sumthin like "buh-buh- bada" ^^ that's been stuck in my head for ages and i still will sing it at random times "BUH-BUH-BADA" |
