Songs: Ohia – Coxcomb Red Lyrics | 6 years ago |
@[Bajinganlangit:23004] I like your thoughts on this. I would not say a miscarriage though, I would say a loss of a child to a tragedy |
Gavin DeGraw – Best I Ever Had Lyrics | 10 years ago |
I feel like he is a traveling artist. He met a woman, had a fling, maybe not even remembering where he met her. Then lost track of where he met her and now has memories of how "good" it felt and how "good it was". Sort of like "the one that got away". |
Animal Alpha – Bundy Lyrics | 10 years ago |
The version I have obviously says bleeding. I got it from iTunes, it says from the Pheromones album. I think I first heard this song on "The walking dead" |
Justin Timberlake – Mirrors Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Just found this on vh1.com The song, which some have theorized to be about Timberlake’s infatuation with his new(ish) wife Jessica Biel, is decidedly more optimistic than the video, which revolves around a couple at three different stages in their relationship. We see the couple as young, sock-hopping greasers in the 50s, coked-out thirtysomethings in the 70s, and then as Alzheimer’s-stricken septuagenarians (in the seemingly present day) |
Justin Timberlake – Mirrors Lyrics | 11 years ago |
This song is all about Alzheimer's I didn't think so until I saw the video. They are soul mates and she has Alzheimer's and is remembering their lives together. "Cause with your hand in my hand and a pocket full of soul" "Cause it's like you're my mirror My mirror staring back at me, staring back at me" Because of those lines it might mean that he has Alzheimer's and she is seeing the memories he is having, "like in a mirror" "And I'll tell you, baby, it was easy Comin' back into you once I figured it out You were right here all along" In the video she seeing the memories of the past that he is having. The part where she is looking at her ring, he walks up and put his hand on her during the time JT is singing about "Comin' back into you once I figured it out" |
Swedish House Mafia – Don't You Worry Child Lyrics | 11 years ago |
It is surprising at your age that you see the song in pretty much the same way I do. Awesome job |
Alexz Johnson – Skin Lyrics | 11 years ago |
There has only been two songs that have brought a rush of emotions to me when I heard them for the first time. The first was Evanescence, The last song I'm wasting on you and this song. These songs are sung with intense, profound emotions and you can not only hear it, but you can feel it. These two artists are very talented young ladies. They are why I am such a fan of music. |
Taylor Swift – Ronan Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Taylor had tears in her eyes when she sang this on the Stand Up to Cancer show. The fact that she gave writers credit to Maya, Ronon's mom, was profound. Taylor is amazing how she can create the pay on words and the where she derives her inspiration from. Four years and For years is an example. She also used blog entries from Maya for this song, which is an amazing idea. Keep up the great work Taylor |
Taylor Swift – Dear John Lyrics | 11 years ago |
A few years ago I didn't like Taylor, her music seemed to immature for me. However, I have truly enjoyed watching her grow up and her music has matured very well. She is very much a young woman learning about love and emotions. It reminds me of my early 20s. My therapy is writing, hers seems to be her music. Using her music as therapy gives her music profound passion. This is what has me enjoying her music. I love the passion in this song, so much so I can feel what she is singing about She is a talented musician and writer. She broke a record with the release of "Red" this week. She is in my prayers, I pray that this great success is not too stressful on her and she avoid the temptations of drugs and alcohol that many celebrities fall victim to. |
Finger Eleven – I'll Keep Your Memory Vague Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I agree. I have not heard this song in a very long time but I heard it today and wanted to see what others have thought it meant. I had a very close friend in 2002-2006 and we had fallen for each other. She was married and we were never more than friends and in 2006, with her husband being jealous of our relationship, she said she had to focus on her marriage and I have not heard from her since. This song reminds me of her. I still miss her |
Joan Armatrading – The Weakness In Me Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I like the Melissa Etheridge cover better. But the meaning is the same anyway. I feel it is about someone who is in love with two people. Two lesbians sang this song, so I always imagine it is about someone loving two women and having a difficult time choosing between them. It fits me very well, at least it used to. I was in love with my wife but also very much in love with a long term friend. I met this other woman when she was separated. I was single but she wanted to work on her marriage. She told me to move on, so I did. I met someone and we were together for 5 months before this other woman moved out of state and had a baby. They had not met each other yet. When this other woman came back to town to visit me and let me meet her daughter, I took my soon to be wife with me as well as my 16 yo daughter. Once we left, my daughter stuck her head between the seats of my van and asked my soon to be wife, "did you see that?" My soon to be wife said "yes I did" and I saw tears in her eyes. I asked what they were talking about and my daughter said the love between me and this other woman, they could see it in the way we looked at each other. I blew it off, downplayed it, but I knew what they were talking about. I got married and my wife left me after 10 months for another man. She always said that I loved this other woman more than I loved her. Honestly, I loved them both I feel the passion in this song, the pain and suffering of wanting to love both of these women, and having to pick one. It has been 5 years and this other woman is not in my life anymore but my current fiancee says she is worried she will lose me if this woman ever comes back into my life. It scares me too. It may return me to feeling the way this song portrays. How do you get over a love that is so profound? |
Evanescence – Farther Away Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I keep going back to the fact that some of their music is about God. Tourniquet was without a doubt a Christian song. The more I listen to this song, the more I think it is about her relationship with God. For me, it just fits. I have enjoyed all of their music and the songs that are Christian like, are some of their best. Just my two cents |
Pink – Sober Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Well, here it goes. I personally believe this song is about becoming sober, ridding alcohol "I don't wanna be the girl who laughs the loudest Or the girl who never wants to be alone I don't wanna be that call at four o'clock in the morning 'Cause I'm the only one you know in the world that won't be home" "laughs the loudest" refers to inhibitions when drunk, being loud. Being alone is about going out with friends to drink Out all night, so not at home "Aahh, the sun is blinding I stayed up again Oohh, I am finding That's not the way I want my story to end" Stayed up all night and the morning sun is bright, not used to light. The singer finally decides that this is not how they want to be, how they want their story to end. "I'm safe Up high Nothing can touch me But why do I feel this party's over? No pain Inside You're my protection But how do I feel this good sober?" Feels safe when drunk. But feels that it is time to end these endless nights of drinking and become sober. No pain, the alcohol is her protection, but now that she is sober, she feels good and she does not know why. Again, going back to feeling that it is time to end all the partying "I don't wanna be the girl who has to feel the silence... The quiet scares me 'cause it screams the truth Please don't tell me that we had that conversation When I won't remember, save your breath, 'cause what's the use?" I am not sure about this one. I think it is about feeling the silence when she is sober, and how she is afraid to get sober because the quiet scares her. I feel that the conversation about coming sober was held when she was drunk and she wont remember it. "Aahh, the night is calling And it whispers to me softly, "come and play" Aahh, I am falling And if I let myself go, I'm the only one to blame" Tempted to go get drunk again "I'm safe Up high Nothing can touch me But why do I feel this party's over? No pain Inside You're like perfection But how do I feel this good sober?" When drunk she is safe, and noting can touch her but she still feels it is time to sober up. "When it's good, then it's good, it's so good, 'till it goes bad Till you're trying to find the you that you once had I have heard myself cry Never again Broken down in agony And just trying to find a friend" When drunk it is good, and very good, but when it end, when something bad happens while drunk it is bad. Trying to find the way she felt when she used to get drunk every night, but because she does not feel that way, she finally feels that it is time to sober up. Now sober, she is trying to find a friend that will make her feel the way the alcohol did. Yea, maybe not, but it is how I interpreted it. |

Personally, I feel this is her best song. I really enjoy it and it does hit me, I can agree as to what she is singing. I hope she has more songs like this. |
Seether – Breakdown Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I love it! I think they write some of their best songs when they write about each other. Maybe they both (Amy and Shaun) should go through some more relationships and then write about those as well. :) But, she is married now, so oh well. |
Josh Groban – Broken Vow Lyrics | 15 years ago |
In 2005 the woman I had been married to for 10 months left me for another man. It took almost a year before I was truly over her. Six months after she left I met a very dear friend, we actually went on two dates before we decided friends is more what we wanted. As Christians, we shared many spiritual things in our lives. One day, when I was feeling down, we were emailing each other during the day, she sent me the lyrics to this song. I went home and downloaded it and listened to it for over an hour, crying the whole time. It fit so well into what I was going through. I kept on asking why I didn't why she had broke her vow Every single line expressed exactly how I was feeling. I am over her now, but this song still brings tears to my eyes. I love songs with passion, so much passion. |
Evanescence – The Last Song I'm Wasting on You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Wow, this has to be the best song on the album, or not on the album. Yes, I have the iTunes pre-release version. I think it is about Ben. It does suggest that there is a deep love there, but pain involved too. The first time I heard this song it was loud, higher volume, and the part where she sings "I can't hear your screams anymore", and her voice and drags a bit to the next line, sent shivers down my spin, raised the hair on my neck. I love her voice and this song brought me many thoughts of my Ex. I dedeicated many songs to my Ex when we were togehter. Although my Ex was not abusive, she hurt me bad when she left me for another guy. I dedicated this song to her after I heard it, the last song I will ever dedicate to her. If you dont have this song, you should get it. |
