Copeland – Eat, Sleep, Repeat Lyrics
|
i really don't think this song is about christianity. no offense to people who do. but in my opinion, this song is clearly about falling in love. it says how love is just so complex that even the smartest people in the world still get puzzled and perplexed by just simple actions from a person. and people who supposedly have "cold hearts" can even get taken by love, that love can break through all barriers and get anyone caught up, no matter what their personality is.
and the rest of the song...it seems to be about someone who has never known love and has no earthly idea how to handle all the emotions and everything that comes along with REALLY falling in love.
like when you are young and naive, you think you are "in love" with someone and then you get devastated when you two break up, but you later on realize, or maybe someone else realizes it then, that you were never really in love.
it's complex, but it's totally beautiful. aaron's lyrics are just absolutely perfect. |

this song is absolutely gorgeous.
i agree, that this song is about a person not wanting to accept that they are in love with someone. or being in love with someone still who you can't get over, and know you should get over, but you keep running back to them because they are like your security blanket. |

Brightwood – In Memory Lyrics

this is the first song I ever heard by Brightwood, and I fell in love.
I think one element that is pretty obvious in this song is that it's about a breakup. and Brightwood conveys the PERFECT emotion with the music and the words as well as the vocals to create an atmosphere that fits together like a puzzle.
When it comes to the meaning of the song, I think something happened between a couple and they broke up. And the narrator (who I'm assuming is the guy) really doesn't want it to be over, hence "And I can't get your sight, your scent from my head."
The guy feels like even though he is devastated, there's no point in trying to fix anything with his significant other because she (or even he) is to the point of no return; the person doesn't want him back. With the line "Slipped past, and I didn't notice. Did we ever sing the same song?" I think whatever happened was the guy's fault, and he did it without even realizing. Like maybe he grew apart from her or he changed and wasn't the same person. He couldn't see it since it was him changing or growing apart, but she did. And he is wondering how she could let something like that break up something so important.
"The story we wrote in one season came to an end in one night." It seems as if they were together for about three months. And suddenly it just ended because of the reasons I said above. Unexpectedly. "Remember the times when we started believing, Everything would be alright?" Whatever the problem was had come up before and they had talked about it, the impression was made that there was faith that it wouldn't end. But it did... And with the closing lines it seems the guy, even though he feels he can't reach out to her and make any difference, he is still going to wait for her. He wants her back so badly, that he'll keep hoping for it until he can get her back.
It's a beautiful song, really...so much emotion packed into only a few minutes. It's perfect. |

Secret And Whisper – Spider Besider Lyrics
| 16 years ago
|
well, I posted the lyrics :) and I found what I thought to be a pretty logical explanation for the song.
I was looking up Secret and Whisper on Wikipedia. I know it's not always the most reliable source, but I can't really see why anyone would lie...I'm posting this just because I think it sounds pretty logical & I agree.
The band told a fan that "Spider Besider" was written about an old Chinese woman by the name of Iachoku that Charles met at an old job. The song is about how ridiculous it is that people have to change so much just to fit in. Iachoku had to change her name to Susan when she moved to North America. The chorus line is "Iachoku, I'm not a sweet as I've led you" which means that even though it seems nice in America "its not always what it's made to be". |

The Reason – We're So Beyond This (feat. Sara Quin) Lyrics

i think this is a song about a couple, not who are going to break up, but they are just saying that they really love each other and want to be with each other but through that they have to learn to be completely honest with each other and not be scared of whatever will happen. |

Bring Me the Horizon – Pray For Plagues Lyrics

i really think atleast part of this song is about the book of revelation in the bible, since it clearly says that the rivers will flow with blood, it's talking about plagues and says things like "lord" and "christ".
but i also agree about the slut thing as well. |

"Attached means identity"
if this song is about christianity, could this possibly mean the fact that some people are only christians because they want to have a sense of belonging, a sense of importance, they want a set of rules to follow so they can go onto eternal life in heaven, so that's sort of their idenity, laid out for them.
idk, maybe i'm just crazy, but i see it in that way. i'd love to know if anyone else sees that as well. |
