Yeah lately I've been feeling this way, I pretty much just want to listen to country nowadays. Country isn't really the story of my life, but I find it is a very simple style of music, it makes me dream about living a much simpler life. While I ignored the style, I'm discovering that it's part of me. It reminds me of my childhood as my mother played it a lot back then, especially this song. I also learned that my late grandfather loved this style, so I feel that listening to the new generation of it brings me closer to him. |

Ah those wonderful kitchen parties! My mother comes from New Brunswick and we do many of those whenever we visit. I've been to Halifax a few times, man do I ever miss that city! This song really makes me think about the wonderful culture of Nova Scotia! |

For Bjorn's and Agnetha's divorce, I think you mean The Winner Takes It All. The Arrival album was released with this track, in 1976. Agnetha and Bjorn divorced in 1980. |

This makes me think of a very good friend of mine that I've liked for quite some time now. It makes me think of when I first became friends with her, she was the one that made me listen to this. She recently has told me that she has a boyfriend, now this song pops in again. Even though after graduation, I left home to pursue my dream career, I never told her how I felt. We're very good friends though, so I don't regret the years we've spent together. |

I listened to the original "The Album" record and this song is on the first one. I noticed that there's a short instrumental that was for some reason removed from the version I have on CD, which is More ABBA Gold. I don't know why they removed it...I like it! |

I don't know why we're comparing both versions here, but I happen to like the message of this song. To me it's all about paranoia of the cold war. A simple thing like a pack of red balloons becomes a threat and the defenses going to extremes about it.
In the end, she says that she had 99 dreams, but they were all destroyed because of the war, exept for 1. That dream involves "you". Even though war can destroy many things, it cannot destroy love. |

No matter the age I'll be, I'll always appreciate what my parents have done for me. My dad has never had the job he truely loves, but he has always cared for me and my brothers. I am now 18, and I recently moved out of my house, but I still look up at my parents, they're the reason why I am who I am today. I still take their advice, they're still caring for me, and I hope to care for my future children as they have cared for me. My parents are in their late 40s, and they're still appreciating what their parents have done for them. Age shouldn't matter when a man truely expresses his love for his father. |
