| Everybody thinks every song from the floyd is about Syd Barret. The Wall is NOT about Syd. Syds father didnt die in WWI, nor did he have a wife that cheated on him. Its a bit about Roger, the rock star life, but mostly its about Pink. The movie however is a differnt story. Since the movie has images and the album does not, it left Roger to improvise. Pink shaving all his hair off including his eyebrows, Roger has recalled acaully seeing Syd on a couch with a cig staring into the Tv. But it is mostly from one of Rogers own experiances. The movie Pink is watching thoughout the whole movie and in the album is one of Rogers favorite movies and has said hes had a great obession with. Theres a lil Syd in there, alot of Roger in there and David has recalled being able to relate to it. Its about the Rock star life, among so many other things. Its about Pink aka Mr. Floyd | |

Polly co-write this song so if she says its about Syd and Roger then its about Syd and Roger. And David wasnt just Syds replacment, they were good friends, he even taught Syd a thing or two on the guitar when they were young. And was the only one out of Floyd who acually kept in touch with Syd after he left Floyd. AND!!! Produced Syds first solo album. |
