My first impression was that the song was about splitting California into two states. Seeing as the band is from California and that it is a very large state. In visiting there I also got the impression that there was a regional pride in whether you were from North or South Cali. I actually went to this site to see if anyone else had a similar opinion. |

Great song, very entertaining and well written. I think the line about Stillwater (still water) represents a double entendre where it can most easily be interpreted as still water, but some may regonize it as Stillwater a town in the Twin Cities, which happens to be located on the St. Croix River which flows into the Mississippi River. |
