The Antlers – French Exit Lyrics | 11 years ago |
sex again, just like in "I don't want love" |
Songs: Ohia – Just A Spark Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Its a clear end of the story to the previous "the lioness" song, with the same guitar and all. It started as something promising, something great and strong, but in the end it turned out to be just a spark to shine, and nothing more. The whole album is about something that just didn't work out, but meant the world and perhaps still does to him. |
Songs: Ohia – Being In Love Lyrics | 11 years ago |
this song shoots me right in the heart |
The Antlers – I Don't Want Love Lyrics | 11 years ago |
The lust between them is strong, and the sex is great, but the love on the other hand, it's just scary. |
The White Stripes – There's No Home For You Here Lyrics | 11 years ago |
this song seems to me to be about an ex that he still spends alot of time with. She seems to be fine, but he is not, and at the end of the song, where the hard voice suddenly turns soft and tender, it shows alot of love still from him, and because she is seemingly doing so well he doesn't want to see it anymore. |
Grimes – Genesis Lyrics | 11 years ago |
My heart will never feel Will never see Will never know Oh, heart And then it falls And then I fall And then I know My heart will never be I never see I never know Holding ohn-on /home and I know I am a vagabond It’s always different I am the one that falls /I am the one that loves |

this is the wrong song. Maybe another band. :| |
The National – Trophy Wife Lyrics | 15 years ago |
that line "i fell in love with you no matter what you say, but you were right about the reasons" is in patterns of fairytales as well |
Bob Dylan – Can't Leave Her Behind Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think this is the sweetest bob dylan song i've heard |
The National – Patterns of Fairytales Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Bob Dylan – If Dogs Run Free Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Dirty On Purpose – Lake Effect Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think this is about a breakup but what the hell do I know. |
Jolie Holland – Nothing To Do But Dream Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Life is so depressing all she can do is dream herself away from it. Yet she can't go too far cause her friends/family are depending on her "Oh I remember, I remember something about how who we were Oh I remember, I remember something about who we could be" I think is the right lines here? This might be her dreaming about a past lover thats now left her behind maybe because of something she done. "I got reckless and I broke my babys rules" and she sings of it as she is serving time for this now. this part is more puzzling to me, all of a sudden her sister shows up, and for what?: "I took my sister to the river, and I came back alone" "my daddy is suspicious he wont find out about it till shes safe down in the mud" It gives almost some kind of nick cave "where the wild roses grow" feel to it, though maybe this sister is herself and a part of herself she needs to bury. |
The National – 90-Mile Water Wall Lyrics | 15 years ago |
the target of this hand doesnt mean that he's been hitting her, it simply means that he's found her and wants her, but it doesn't fit into their lives somehow, and I think she's trying to explain to him that, but he just keeps on looking at her and wanting her. He wants a huge waterwall to just splash him away from there so he doesnt have to look at her anymore, cause he feels like he has no choice but sitting there and looking at something he can never have, a feeling these brilliantly sad violins convey in such a perfect heartbreaking way. Maybe this song is about the same girl as in "patterns of fairytales" |
The Veils – Calliope! Lyrics | 15 years ago |
this song is about meeting your dream |
Hot Chip – Wrestlers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song, maybe its a love song? maybe its a funny take on everyday life or maybe its a song about wrestling with a friend just for fun. |
Joanna Newsom – Monkey & Bear Lyrics | 17 years ago |
why discuss a song to death? I don't really see the point, unless you're high on weed and talking to a close friend. |
Iliketrains – Oh, The Humanity Lyrics | 17 years ago |
seems to be about feeling judged by humanity, and telling them to "turn their faces to the wall" I guess it's more him talking to himself, telling himself they aren't any better than him. |
Joanna Newsom – Monkey & Bear Lyrics | 17 years ago |
poor bear.. damn monkey! |
