Rachael Yamagata – I Wish You Love Lyrics 12 years ago
I don't even think of this song as a "relationship" song. It's so simple and beautiful, that I sometimes listen to it and hope that love enriches everyone in my life. You don't have to "be" with someone, but live (hence seasons for a more literal sense) and hope that love in their life remains forever.

Jimmy Eat World – Work Lyrics 14 years ago
Words in a song or poem can have any meaning, however YOU interpret it. YOU are giving it meaning, otherwise, it is just a song of meaningless letters that form words that say stuff.

What I mean by this, is this is why we all have different answers, showing the less experienced posts about sex and the more experienced about something more. This is a great site.

To me, this song is about life and these relationships that happen to us when we're young. We live to focus on something more, yet our young hearts all get carried away with this ideal of "love".
But do we want to be serious about it? It's up to us to accept this "love" or not, but in our younger years, it's just going to get in the way of "work", or our goals. The ideal of "love" is a serious thing (I use the word "ideal" as a disclaimer) but if we were wise, we wouldn't fall into that, but instead, have fun.

Just live! Get out of this town while we still have time! Be spontaneous, play, learn, travel, take risks, have fear, and mostly be happy with whatever you do. There's more to life than being committed while you're young. Just get through all of the little things in life, go out and experience college and your youth, and whenever you're ready, it will happen. Don't grow up to fast and indulge in the play time.

And you know, maybe it's not even about "love" with a person in particular. Maybe society and how everyone is trying so hard to grow up so fast. To be more complex, maybe "love" can represent an idea; a relationship with a certain situation that would be easier dealt with if saved for later.

So many interpretations! I'm done though : p

i agree. it does sound like a tsunami

"Child bearing games from the streets down to the shores
They’re playing as waterways open in an obscene gaping gasp. "
makes sense?

Fiore – The Performance Lyrics 17 years ago
i remember when i first heard fiore, i thought it was the same singer from saosin. but if you listen to both bands close enough, they're completely different. saosin is more upbeat than fiore and fiore is more melodic, but i shouldnt compare bands though...

yeah i think fiore will go far =)

this song is wonderfulooza and really catchy. its pretty straight-foward, so anyone can basically understand the meaning.

Single File – The Grocery Store Song Lyrics 17 years ago
It's about a guy who works at a grocery store and is following a really beautiful girl. sometimes he talks to himself, like "stop being such a pussy".

then in the song where he actually is talking, he's arguing with himself to get the nerve to go up and talk to her ("there she is, say hello!"), but then she leaves before he can do anything because he's soo caught up in his thoughts.

Single File – Zombies Ate My Neighbors Lyrics 17 years ago
haha this song is soo catchy.

it's obviously about zombies attacking a town and everyone is gonna go to war with them.

The part in the middle "and there she was glaring..." talks about one of the zombies, that i'm assuming he once fell in love with, but since she's a zombie, he can kill her. "...i wont be holding back tonight"

I think this song is interesting though, because throughout the whole song, it never mentions anything about zombies, and refers to them as "they're" and "them". The only givaway is the title. The cool part is, if they changed the title to "vampires ate..." or "aliens ate..." then it could change the whole story.

The Fall of Troy – F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. Lyrics 17 years ago
its fun playing on the guitar ^^

but yea when you listen to the lyrics, it is a sad song. like debaser said, about two people in love and one is about to die or something. when he says "maybe some day i'll come running back to you" he means something like "i'll see you in the next life"

i could be wrong tho because the part that throws me off is "her tears are falling on my grave"
