| My school recently put on Under Milk Wood as a play(I built the set). It was really wonderful, and it's one of the most beautiful plays(theatrical, radio, or otherwise) that I've ever seen(or heard). I squealed with joy when I heard some UMW references in this song. | |

This reminds me of this boy I'm in love with. I've been going sort of insane lately; I'm under a lot of stress. Some of that stress is caused by the fact that he has a girlfriend whom he loves, but whatever. In the past, he has always been there for me, and he still is. But one day I got so fed up with everything, that I just ignored everyone, including him. This verse really reminds me of that aspect: "first of all, let me say I must apologize for acting stank and treating you this way cause ive been acting like sour milk all on the floor it's your fault you didn’t shut the refrigerator maybe that’s the reason I've been acting so cold?" That day, though, he was very sweet and tried to talk to me and cheer me up. "You held me down, I’m at my lowest boiling point Come help me out, I need to get me out of this joint Come on lets bounce, counting on you to turn me around instead of clowning around, let's look for some common ground" This verse reminds me of when I was at my lowest, about 2 months ago. He really helped me through it by talking to me and such. And now, I sort of depend on him to help me through everything. "So baby, times getting a little crazy I've been getting a little lazy Waiting for you to come save me I can see that you're angry By the way the you treat me Hopefully you don't leave me Want to take you with me" Recently, he seems to be kind of annoyed by my moodiness. He's occupied with his girlfriend and he probably doesn't really want to hear my problems. This is evident by the fact that he's been sort of short with me. It's not that he doesn't care, everyday he still asks me,"Are you alright?" in that caring way of his. "If I could be sweet" This one line sums up a lot for me. I'm rough with the way I say things, and I curse a lot, which he disapproves of. His girlfriend is one of the nicest, prettiest, sweetest girls I've ever met, and I guess I'm sort of the opposite. Yeah, I just totally spilled my guts on songmeanings. Ah well. Loser4lyfe! |

The beginning of the song "When there's nothing else to burn, you have to set yourself on fire." part reminds me of Hitler for some reason, haha. Anyways, it's a beautiful song. I always listen to it when something is ending, a school year, a relationship, etc. It's very bittersweet in my eyes. |

Some people list this song as "Eagle-Shaped Mirror" Which I thought was cool because after an Of Montreal concert back in August, Kevin signed my purse and wrote "Hey, baby. You are not an eagle-shaped mirror for onions to go republican." Yeah! This song rocks. So does She's A Rejector. |
