Rage Against the Machine – Bullet In The Head Lyrics 11 years ago
"Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" is a song by Dawn featuring Tony Orlando. It was a worldwide hit for the group in 1973. Yellow ribbons have been around since the 19th century, and they've always had the same meaning.

I was listening back in 1996 but I wasn't hearing it back then. Now I'm wide awake and I think this is EXACTLY what it's about.

I'm just spit-balling here, but perhaps Jack is short for John, as in John F Kennedy who's execution (bullet(s) in the head) was broadcast on live TV, recorded and played again and again and again.

Scissor Sisters – Take Your Mama Lyrics 13 years ago
I don't know why everyone needs to "gay it up". Not knowing anything about the background of the band members, I was thinking this song was about growing up and becoming a man and being recognized as an adult by your parents.

"It's a struggle, livin' like a good boy oughta. In the summer, watching all the girls pass by"

It's hard to be "a good boy" and settle down in a relationship with 1 woman and get married. When there are so many women out there you just want to sleep with them all... There's nothing more heterosexual than that.

Marilyn Manson – Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode cover) Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is the voice of satan speaking to the soul of the listener. It is quite clear that this song was written to mock God. The catchy rhythm and guitar riff make the sin very appetizing.
