My grandad died recently + although most of the lyrics aren't really relevant, it still reminds me of around the time he died when I listened to this song over + over. That's what it means to me. |

I really love this song because although McFly aren't the best at lyrics, this song is one of the most amazingly written songs to me. The lyrics are very clear and simple. Not incredibly poetic and metaphoric, but it really fits the song. Basically telling it like it is. They sing with meaning and the part where they sing a part each is so full of emotion and so powerful it's like woah. And although the lyrics are simple, it's different to other songs of theirs that are about relationships and girls. It's about saying sorry and confronting problems in a relationshipe compared to "not getting the girl" etc. Amaze song. |

I've recently been having real problems with my best friend. And I fucking love Blink. This is one of my favourite songs. Anyway, it was at Hallowe'en and Always came on, and we were dancing and I sang to him the hold you etc and I know it's about a relationship rather than a friendship but it seemed to work and we're back to normal again. So, yeah this brings be happy memories although it's quite sad. |

I really do love this song. I've loved Blink for years and this is one of my favourites. But, I hate saying it's one of my favourites, because all those fuckwits who go on about how they "love Blink-182 oh and i miss you is such a great song" because it's the only one they've ever heard. And it just so happened that it's fucking amazing. So yeah, I just have to let people know, that I am a true Blink fan, I just do love this song. It's like people saying the like the Bloodhound Gang because they know The Bad Touch. And no other songs. I hate it. But anyway, I go with the passing away of a loved one. Sad song. |

Blink is my alltime favourite band. This is my alltime favourite song. When I hear it, I think of all the lyrics very literally. No metaphors etc. I do think it's about suicide, I can relate to the whole "Please tell Mom this is not her fault" It's the overwelming guilt of knowing how much it will destroy your family if you kill yourself. Even though you are desperate to do it. I interpreted the "rarely came" part sexually. Yeah, so it was quite literal to me. Also, Jeremiahjackass, what's with the Bright Eyes lyrics? |

But, when I first heard the lyrics, I didn't imagine them as step-siblings. I just imagined them as two teenagers. Either way, it is still amazing. I forgot to put before that when I did first hear it, I didn't listen to the lyrics properly and the tempo and even the melody makes it seem like a really happy song, but then you hear the song and almost straight away you hear about destruction and violence. So poetic. |

One of my favourite songs ever ever in the world ever. It gives me the shivers with its pure amazingness All the lyrics are just absolutely fantastic and I can't get over the way he sings them. "As we would lay and learn what each other's bodies were for" - favourite line. It's so simple but it's so poetic and just beautiful. It seems like there is no romance in what they are doing, but when you really listen to it, it's like there is so much intimacy and romance embedded in it, a teenage love, they're learning, yet they know what they're doing and it's just so special. That's my interpretation. I also agree with shockdelica, I think they are step-siblings. This just enhances the strange, a bit disturbing, burning love that is so close and intimate it is almost incest. Absolutely bloody amazing. Love it. |

this song is one of my favourites of mcfly. the harmonica solo is amazing and although a lot of people criticise it for "copying" bob dylan, i think thats stupid because it fits perfectly with the song and bob dylans a legend anyway its not like its gonna take away his fame. this song is brilliant. i love the first line of the chorus, it just hits you with pure genius lyric/melody writing. the way the "you" is doubly used. it makes it so original and clever and i sound so lame for acting like this song writing is as good as conor oberst's (cos i know it blatantly isnt) but i do think it is a really good song. |

adjfhgwg, it was my first bright eyes song aswell. and also my favourite :) _haligh, i believe that the upbeatness of the song makes it what it is and puts across the aggressiveness and desperation, and also when he whispers "here is where you rest" it contrasts beautifully and thats why i love it. i think you could take the rest of your life analysing and interpreting conor's lyrics but i dont like to dig too deep and explore too far into the meaning because i think it would ruin the beauty of the song. i dont mean i ignore the lyrics (theyre what makes conor's songs so special) but i just like to listen and understand in my way. And admire. |

This and You and I misbehaving are my favourites of Tilly. I'm 14 but I can see the whole sarcastic view. But I still like to think that it is a song that I can still relate to as a teenager and the lyrics, whether its nostalgic, satirical, whatever, are still amazing. I particularly love "God put down your gun can't you see we're dead? God put down your hand we're not listening." My older sister showed me this and the first time I heard it, those were the lyrics that stuck in my head. I like the rebel-teenager-ness. "but we're bored to death we got a bottle of wine and a fresh pack o smokes" Even if it is being sarcastic, it still captures the way all teenagers think. I love it :) |

This is one of my favourite songs in the world.
