A song worth a cover |
Kimya Dawson – The Competition Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"i got good at feeling bad and thats why im still here" isnt that why were all still here... love this song Kimya sings this in such an upbeat manner , that the slightly depressing lyrics still sound cheerfull |
Placebo – Without You I'm Nothing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
The title of this song is infuriating, but the song acts as a neutralizer Its good |
Jenny Lewis – Handle with Care (Traveling Wilburys cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"Everybody's got somebody to lean on. Put your body next to mine and dream on." i have no clue what this guy looks like but his voice is such a turn on This songs meaning is pretty self explanitory but i cannot get it out of my head.. especially his voice..i swear i hear it in my dreams i want to marry that voice |
The Velvet Underground – Oh! Sweet Nuthin Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song strikes me as religous. it talks about having nothing. but its a sweet nothing. |
Stereolab – You Used To Call Me Sadness Lyrics | 17 years ago |
pretty self explanitory song. or im just missing the whole point. In my opinion it just means that people dont see things how they actually are, but how they want to see them. chill song though |
Rilo Kiley – Hail to Whatever You Found in the Sunlight That Surrounds You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I could be way off, but initially i thought this was about death and birth. Jenny is talking about the good things that are entering and leaving the sunlight. Or if not about life and death, just the people that come into your life. When she says "pretend all the good things are for you" shes saying ignore the fact that it is untrue, but good people come into you life specifically for your benefit. |
Rilo Kiley – The Absence of God Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song means so many things "The absence of God will bring you comfort, baby " I believe Jenny is saying that people are living for themselves. People are comforted by the fact that they arent living to impress anybody but themselves. "And we'd still be ruled by our dueling perspectives And I'm not my perspective Or the lies I'll tell you every time " Jenny could be saying to a person is defined by their perspective, but she lies about her perspective so the way she is seen is inaccurate. Also, obviously from the titel, she is saying there is an absence of god. "And Mike I'll teach you how to swim If you turn the bad in me into good again " she is asking mike to help her become a good person as opposed to asking god. so much to say about this song. i love it. |
Rilo Kiley – A Better Son/Daughter Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I see this song being about depression rather than being bipolar "but the lows are so extreme, that the good seems fucking cheap." to me this means that no matter how good the good times are they arent worth it. Jenny is saying that living a life of depression is not worth the rare good times. |
Modest Mouse – Baby Blue Sedan Lyrics | 17 years ago |
p.s relapser: i thought he said.."i shot the stork cause i didnt hear it in a way" |
Modest Mouse – Baby Blue Sedan Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"i miss you when your around" in my opinion it could mean that someone has changed. Even if he is still with that persons hes not really with them because they are so different. It sounds like he misses how things were but doesnt want to let go of seeing the person all together. sometimes its hard to let go of someone or something, so you keep yourself exposed to it even if its changed. |
Kimya Dawson – Loose Lips Lyrics | 17 years ago |
