By far one of my favorite songs on the new album and a fav among ALL thier songs, and that's saying a lot. Brings on the same sort of feelings that "The Warmth" does, and yea it's really hard not to listen to again and again. I always play it whenever I put the new CD in. Can't WAIT to see them live here in orlando playing it |

Don't feel bad Skeptic, I got out of control when I saw this in my email. The "wounded sattellite" is one of the best lines, I love when Boyd makes stellar references, it's amazing how thier songs "paint" a perfect picture with sensory imagery, Like a port town overcast with dark clouds and he's sitting on a roof looking up at the sky wondering when he'll break out of it. I can't wait to get Light Grenades. And I don't buy CDs... |

One of my friends who is a religious Verve Pipe fan actually ASKED BRIAN VAN DER ARK WHAT THIS SONG WAS ABOUT at a meet and greet, Brian said(in a nutshell): "I got this girl pregnant when we were in highschool, she had an abortion, was very emotional and distrought and expected me to feel all this pain for her, and I told her, look we were kids, we were freshman." It's about not destroying yourself over things you couldn't have understood because you didn't feel the gravity of the consequences, especially as young adults, screwing up is mandatory if we're going to learn anything. |
