To be honest I think he is talking about an Outdoor-Rave "Met a dancer Who was high in a field From her movement" Most outdoor raves Ive been too the music is either ovb on a high hill or the bottom. "Got a dancer Who gets wild to the beats of record rhythms But I'm always away for weeks" Again saying she dances to the beats of the DJ spinning and when he says weeks Im thinking unlike her he cant do these Raves all the time, he has responsibilies like the band and just life in general cant do drugs and rave allll the time. "Feeling envy for the kid who'll dance despite anything I walk out in the flowers and feel better" Hes upset that like many rave kids they are just drugged out and any rave they can possibly go to they go because they have nothing of importance in their life. When he walks out into the flowers he walks into the rave of massive people. He feels selfish becauseu unlike her he can't do this everyweek like she probbly does. As I said Avery has responblites but like me raves are fun to go to ocasainllaly. To hold you in time means even though he knows it will end while they are both high on each others company and the drugs he will always remember this rave night. I love this song and the whole CD Pink Moon. Nick Drake pretty much defines the genre "Singer-Song Writer" it's just him making music about how insane he was. When I hear this song I just think to myself if it wasn't for Drake artists Like Jack Johnson wouldn't even be an artist. Total rip off. |

Totally agree with alot of you guys, Like I do I go to school ripped sometimes and I go to work ripped also (More at school) I still go to school and get my shit done to get good grades, and when I go to work same thing I get everything that is needed to get done while being stoned and like Panda Bear I do not hurt anyone I am with, I'm still me just ripped This may be about weed cause when he says hurt noone I don't know how it would feel on Acid or Shrooms but I definitely think you would be just totally lost but maybe some people can control never delt with them |
