Marilyn Manson – The Beautiful People Lyrics

Wow...
Satinism is a religion that is devided into two sectors.
One side of it actually worships Satin, God's ememy.
On the other hand, Atheistic Satinism uses his image to promost more of a self worship in a way.
Anton Szandor LaVey wrote the officail Satanic Bible.
I'm not saying that Brain acutally ment this song to be aout Satinism, but I just saw a connection.

The song labeled as JOJ's can be foubd here. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=373109862
I've found the other song by whoever. They sound totally different. The 80's version(the originl), has no snapping snare or any distortion in their guitars. |

Wow... I've read justg about every comment on this bands page. I have even had my mild disagreements with quiffporn. But, I have come to respect him a lot. See, he really is a huge HIM fan, whose knowlage surpasses most fans.
He speaks his mind and enjoys messing with people. It's actually quite amusing lol.
As for this song, I think it's a wonderful cover. Brilliantly done. |

Not true!
The band is Rouge. He's the only constant member.
Rouge IS The Cruxshadows.
He writes the songs, creates all the music, makes all the programing. The band just plays instruments to make a better live show. The oldest member besides Rouge, just left. The bands members are never constant. |

I have yet to hear the T Rex version, but I adore the Bauhaus cover. The lyrics are good. I associate them with American politics.
It makes me think of Uncle Sam delivering the infamous telegrams informing the family of a solder that they has died in combat. |

But, this is such a sweet and sad song! Brilliantly written. Again, Voltaire hits that soft spot on our hearts. And he does it with such persision... |

HIM – Borellus Lyrics

Personally, I think he's raising animals from the dead... This man could have the "Whole Ark of Noah in his study"... To me that means he's resurecting dead animals for his pleasure of doing what ever he wishes with them. |

Hey, lets all me human here, he didn't like it, so what...
Personally, I did like this song... Actually, I think it's amazing!
Once again, HIM has done it.
Everyone is way too obsessed with Ville, I mean, he's not the only person in the band. Their the ones who made this song faster... Give credit where it's due. |

The Cruxshadows – Binary Lyrics

This sontg is about God and his Hevenly Hosts, Angels. He has recived a message, on the fixing of the dual sprits of men. He still doesn't understand it, but he's saying God works in Mysterious ways. We all need to bound the darker, hate-filled soul to the shackles of Heaven. Everything eventually equals out, Ying and Yang... This song sums up all the Christian beliefs...
Wonderfully done! I love this song. |

Lower birth does make sence, if your part af the lower birth, you're lower class. It's like being of a noble birth. It's a socail class.
But this song is awesome. It really sets the scence for the rest of the album. It give you a sence of what your in for. Listening to this album is like going on a trip to Hell, and shaking hands with the Devil. |

Personally, I think it's about Satanism. I mean, it displays all the values they honor. If someone is holding you from your desires, do what you must to get them to back off. Even if it means killing them. He says Capitalism made our world, and basic(old fashioned) Fascism will return the world to what it should be. |

Holy fucking shit!
Don't any of you realize that Marylin Manson(the person) is a Satanist. In the satanic religion, you take care of your self first. If anyone is stopping you from getting what you desire, disable them from being in your way. Satanist strongly believe is giving in to temptation. Hence, what the devil represents. Anyone ever read Alistair Crowley?

Marilyn Manson – Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode cover) Lyrics
| 17 years ago

Personally, I don't think this song is religious at all. He only covered it because it used Jesus as a metaphor. We all need someone who is Christlike, even if you don't believe. Someone to confide in, to relieve ourselves. And the line, Reach out and touch faith, means to have trust in who you confess your "sins". This relates to everyone, even those who oppose Christ. I think this version was very well done. It added a nice touch to it. |

Silverdew, you criticize to strictly. I read you comment before I read the lyrics, but they were not that bad. They are a bit heavy to be called a Gothic band, they only dress the part. They do sound like SOM. But, this song was good. I don't like them much, but give credit where it's due. They have a few good songs, this is one of them.
I think the line about the moon cycle is about how we all are in our prime at one point. Live it up, it won't last forever. |

I think he's saying we are damning our selfs and even if he could help, he wouldn't... We feed into sin with every word, every lie. And that diminishes our chances for a Heaven... He's saying we are week and fall into everything we desire. Well, that's what I got from this. |

Personally, this song means all of that and so much more. I love Ten Year's lyrics because it's one of the few band where I stuggle with the meaning. They add so much detail and it still remains vauge. Honestly, every song of theirs has a seperate meaning in every line... |

The Sisters of Mercy – Alice Lyrics
|
To me this song tell a story of an extremly shy girl named Alice, obviously. But somehow she ends up at a party, I tend to think of it as a high school party. I see her in a room upstairs, by herself. She is aquainted by some other caring person, perhaps a friend of hers. It is very possible that this girl is crazy, more likely than not. I see the other person,"She needs you like she needs her tranqs", as some invisible imaginary friend. She needs a figure to be the end of all her internal conversations. In her past(and present) she is ridiculed and made fun of, the made reference of the "Laughing Stangers". And her friend is her only pertection from the verbal(and maybe unmentioned phsyical) abuse. "In illusion, confort lies". In her dreams(internal conversations) she is safe from the others. She fears the door which she so carfully watches. ]
But this was only my interperation. |
