Tool – The Patient Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This whole theme of this album deals with communication and the human experience. "The Patient" is about the bad people you come across in life, the ones that try to pull you down, and having the patience and the fortitude to deal with them and move on. |
The Mars Volta – Wax Simulacra Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song has one of the best intros next to Day Of the Baphomets, and the sax outro is just as awesome. "Came back to doubt yourself but broke in two!" |
Puscifer – The Undertaker (2) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The other version is so much better. |
Radiohead – 15 Step Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"You used to be alright. What happened? Did the cat get your tongue? Did your string come undone? One by one One by one It comes to us all Its as soft as your pillow" Love that verse. |
Tool – The Grudge Lyrics | 16 years ago |
That's an interesting way to look at it. I don't think its what the song was necessarily written about, but the great thing about Tool's lyrics is that they're left so wide open for interpretation, so who's to say? I love this song just as much for what it is musically as it is lyrically. The guitar solo two-thirds of the way through sounds so cool, almost like arabic music or something. I love how loosely it flows. Every second of the buildup up to the breakdown is awesome, and the scream afterward is absolutely fucking sick. |
Tool – Disgustipated Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Sometimes I like to listen to the second half of this song at night. It's really creepy, I thought it was a spoken excerpt from a book or something. |
Radiohead – 15 Step Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Just bought In Rainbows last night. The studio version is fucking awesome! |
Tool – Vicarious Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"Why can't we just admit it? Why can't we just admit it? We won't give pause until the blood is flowing. Neither the brave nor bold, or writers of stories told. We won't give pause until the blood is flowing." Fucking awesome verse. |
Tool – Lateralus Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"With my feet upon the ground I move myself between the sounds And open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin I'm reachin' up and reachin' out, I'm reachin' for the random or Whatever will bewilder me, whatever will bewilder me " What a fucking incredible verse. |
Soundgarden – The Day I Tried to Live Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I never really appreciated the artistry behind this song until I saw the video for it. Its an amazing tune, and the visuals really helped me to better grasp the lyrics as well as interpret them in a way that I can sort of relate to. I liked this line the most of all: "I woke the same as any other day, you know / I should have stayed in bed" The others here hit the nail on the head, the song is basically about a guy who woke up one day and decided to turn his life around for the better, and he just couldn't do it. Its about the bitter taste left in your mouth after you've failed and realize the futility of your actions. |
Audioslave – Show Me How to Live Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is a great song, but I dug the demo version alot more. I loved the dubbing on Chris's vocals, too. "Hey, hey, I said, near as I can figure, you gave me love, now show me how to liii-iiive..." |
Audioslave – Super Stupid Lyrics | 17 years ago |
@therambler07: There should be a BCC Radio Session version of 'Super Stupid' up on the arhive at audioslave.triadpictures.com. Look around for it, its a pretty clean studio recording. |
Audioslave – Moth Lyrics | 17 years ago |
A couple corrections, if I may... "I won't fly around your fire anymore I don't fly around your fire anymore Burned and fallen down so many times before I don't fly around your fire anymore" and.. "As again I put my hand over the flame" That said, this is an awesome song, probably one of my favorites along with Jewel Of The Summertime. Cool chorus. |
Audioslave – Original Fire Lyrics | 18 years ago |
That's actually a pretty cool interpretation of the song, Artemisian. In their early days, Soundgarden wasn't exactly known for their instrumental mastery, nor had Chris Cornell really found his vocal nitch -- dischord is a good word to describe his work on their early releases like the Screaming Life and Fopp LPs --, but there was definitely a blooming atmosphere of musical creativity at that time, particularly in the Seattle music scene, which Chris still often talks about. I'm sure that this song was not written to specifically reference Soundgarden's heyday, but I don't doubt that Chris thought about them while writing it. |
Audioslave – Until We Fall Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Damn right we do. :] |
Geto Boys – Still Lyrics | 18 years ago |
YTMND FTW |
Audioslave – Original Fire Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Nope, it is actually "ever real".. "Ethereal" is pronounced differently, and the video confirms it. I made some changes to the lyrics here, since they're scattered throughout the music video as well. |

Audioslave – Exploder Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Probably the most energetic song in their whole catalogue. I love the building solo near the end. |
Audioslave – Show Me How to Live Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Tom does a pretty killer guitar solo when they play this song live. |
