To me, it sounds like this song is illustrating the point that no matter what, we have to keep trying to move forwards, even if it means crawling. We live! And it's easier together. I love it. |

I only just discovered this song tonight, I love it. From what I can hear it sounds like this song is about a relationship that started and blossomed in ireland. After that is anyone's guess, but they've always got the memories of what happened in Ireland. |

Hokay, I suck at song meanings. And I suck at listening. Would you like to hear the many ways I've heard that one line..."my...girl" (slightly embarassing...) -my sun-up girl -my sun-eyed girl -my son of gold -marsunoguld o.O -my son of god -my summer goal I'm sure my weird brain has thought of many more. I never really thought of it as cyanide (too many syllables for me) The thing is, I never even think bout the lyrics unless I really really like a song and this one has grown on me and I decided to look it up (the internet is little more reliable than my brain) I just ended up confused o.O I laughed. Wow, I love this song. It has such a sad, desparate feel to it, but I think it feels more hopeful by the end when she says that she'll become 'as a girl, in the desperate kingdom of love'. It seems to me that she is able to see love in a less cynical way and more in the way a young child sees love, pure and stuff. Hmmm. I really don't seem to have much of an idea though. I'd love to hear other people's opinions on this beautiful song... |
