Coldplay – How You See the World No. 2 Lyrics
| 17 years ago

It came with the Japanese release of X&Y as a bonus track; this one comes with "Help" and is also the b-side to The Hardest Part and What If as a live version at Earls Court.
Anyway, I love this song. So much more political than anything they've done before. |

U2 – Lemon Lyrics

This song is about both Bono's mother and, as someone said earlier, man's wish to preserve the world in technology, which only becomes more relevant over the years. The relationship is that the only physical memory Bono has of his mother is a video recording of her in a lemon dress, hence the name.
The lyrics "A man makes a picture - a moving picture
Through light projected he can see himself up close
A man captures colour - a man likes to stare
He turns his money into light to look for her" obviously refer to that idea of capturing the world via video.
This also kind of ties in with the video - that whole theme of capturing moments by video.
Anyway, it's a great song, and it's probably about as far away from classic U2 as it's possible to get, lyrically and audially. |

I can see why people don't like this song - some of the lyrics are kind of bizarre and creepy ('I wanna have your baby' wtf???), but I do love this song. I don't see why everyone says it's so un-U2, because how can you say that? How can U2 be un-U2? |

Radiohead – How to Disappear Completely Lyrics

I still don't know why everyone hates Kid A - this song is as good (if not better than) many of the tracks on OK Computer and then there're some rockier songs too like Morning Bell and Optimistic. I dunno... |

For some reason, this song always makes me really sad. I dunno if it's the lyrics or the tune but there's something really mournful about it. Anyways, I love it, classic Radiohead |

This one's gonna be the next single from X&Y and I reckon it's gonna make one hell of a single. You've gotta like the lyrics, I mean even if they don't make a hell of a lot of sense. I genuinely can't think of much more to say about it. Love the ending. Not my fave off X&Y but still a fantastic song |

Radiohead – Paranoid Android Lyrics

Someone going to add the computer-gen lyrics in the background of the "what's that" choruses? They are:
"I may be paranoid but not an android"
and in the 2nd chorus:
"I may be paranoid but no android" |

Shihad – All The Young Fascists Lyrics

First line of the 2nd verse is referring to One Tree Hill in Auckland (I think), and how the one tree got chopped down and they didn't replace it |

This song rocks. Literally. It's definitely about cowardice.
It rocks even more live - on the Pacifier Live CD, when they get the audience to sing the whole chorus, it's just totally awesome |

It's a fantastic song, but the video ruins it. Whenever I listen to it, now, I see naked old ladies in my head, so ... um ... yeah, not nice |
