Turbo goes to rocket, put your kiss in my hand Sinsate your belly down Bend down round this garbage can Plow pound down dirty starfield road Hot ham slap it muscle skin jam load Blam bam I transplode you to the lamb Jesus is screaming your name Violent loving yeah, kissing golden We're going insane But where is the shame When the stuck pig is to blame "Ai ye butt cheeks can't be tamed As I splooey my name In flame." |
Jane's Addiction – Ocean Size Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love the solo in this song... I thought that it was about people who try to press their religion or opinions onto other people... But you learn something new everyday I guess. |
Beck – Truckdrivin' Neighbors Downstairs (Yellow Sweat) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
When he screams, he sounds like Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin. |
Beck – Sweet Sunshine Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Charlie Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Okay, just thinking. No need to talk shit about me; I'm just saying what I think. |
Foo Fighters – Friend Of A Friend Lyrics | 18 years ago |
People don't give the acoustic disc enough credit. It's very deep and spiritual. I know how Dave Grohl says it's about Kurt, but I interpret it differently. I think of it as someone who has been kept quiet for such a long time that it is tearing him apart, and the lock that keeps him in is him being oppressed because he will go berserk if he is let out. He drowns his thoughts and worries in alcohol and is afraid to get something of his own so he uses his friend's possesions. He is self-conscious but doesn't talk too much because he is so withdrawn. He doesn't have a will to connect with anyone else, so when he is with his "friends" it is incredibly awkward and silent. His friends aren't very good because they don't help him with his problems, they just don't speak. He is too afraid to be in love with anyone so he stays silent and withdrawn from anyone else...forever |
The Flaming Lips – She Don't Use Jelly Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I don't think this has a message. I think it's just silly and spontaneous and fun. |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Charlie Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Charlie = Cocaine Little woman = One of John's many dealers Flea's wrist = The mark wear he shoots coke Pick up that smell = The smell of cocaine Run like hell = Running away because he is afraid of slipping back into the patterns he has slipped into so many times before, or maybe running towards the cocaine to fulfill his desire |
Wilco – Company In My Back Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This must be one of the best songs ever... It's so spiritual... I don't think it is possible to actually completely interperet these lyrics into the exact way Jeff Tweedy wrote them... But I can try... The "Comany In My Back" represents reinforcements, be it drugs, friends, blood or anger. The way he moves so slow means he isn't quite ready for anything, and he keeps crushing down on those he loves because he is too timid and scared. Some of these lyricss are just wacky and strange. I don't believe "I will always die" represnts anything. |
Wilco – Elt Lyrics | 18 years ago |
He (Jeff Tweedy) has a sort of rocky relationship with someone he not yet loves but soon will love. It is as if they are competing and he is blocking them out but they aren't getting going to stop trying. |
Wilco – Handshake Drugs Lyrics | 18 years ago |
You can get high and be happy by communicating and being around other people. And when you get lost in a world of drugs and fake smiles, you aren't yourself; you have a false identity. |
Wilco – Muzzle Of Bees Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I think of it as a story some sort of beach house in Michigan where he goes with his family, and how he is at peace there and maybe the muzzle of bees reflects him, traveling around just having a good time, not looking for a fight but just trying to be at peace. And maybe knees are some sort of fetish for Jeff Tweedy because he has several lyric references to them. "Under your bended knee..." For some reason this song connects to Heavy Metal Drummer in the way that he is going on some sort of a vacation with the people he loves. |
Loose Fur – The Ruling Class Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This definitely has to do with his relationship with Jesus. I'm not quite sure what religion Jeff Tweedy is; this could reflect his feelings as a Christian and how Jesus was a badass mothafucka, or if he is Athiest (like I am) he could just sort of being joking around and not really trying to send a message. Either way, it's a damn good song. |
Wilco – Candy Floss Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Well, I think that it sort of has to do with one of his relationships. Some events/inside things that happened, and he puts it together in a poetic way to connect everything together. "We slip and slide on the stay-together landmine I make my mind up to never be myself And every time I fake around I live my life for someone else" I know that when I'm with a girl, sometimes I'll act different then who I actually am to leave a good impression. I think this relationship ended because he wasn't being himself, he was being someone else. |
