You act like your interpretation is law. The figurative language used definitely allows everyone to have their own meaning. This is something a lot of artists say about their own works. And who are you to say they wouldn't wait to write a song with religious allegories? I know little about art, but people change, have epiphanies, and find inspirations for their works. Maybe Brandon wanted to wait for the right song.
Also, no one is "projecting [their] own beliefs" on the Killers or Lou Reed. They are simply interpreting the song in their own way, which is equally as valid as yours until the artists say otherwise. |

man, fuck you guys. I like most of the football and basketball team. Most of them are GOOD people. I can have a smart conversation with a lot of them. I probably, PROBABLY, dislike more drama kids then football kids. The football kids will generally get along with anyone and the drama kids generally just hide in the drama room amongst each other. Now I love some drama kids to death and want to strangle some football kids and keep in mind that personally I am more of a drama kid and I'm awful at most sports. Now ok, the so-called popular kids might all become football players/cheerleaders but most football players/cheerleaders are just enjoying themselves. Whenever someone scoffs at these people I truly wanna curbstomp em. |
