im sure a lot of people are gonna get pissed off by this song but im a feminist, and i think this song is kind of sad. it says a lot about him. His mother was a drug addict, and it sounds like his wife was a cheating drug addict, so of course he doesn't trust women! Doesn't sound like he's met one that is worth his time. If a female came out with a song like this no one would blink an eye, but its true, women can be just as cruel as men. I wish the best for him, hopefully someday he'll meet someone who really cares about him, so he wont have to put up anymore walls. Eminem is awesome. |

ok it seems like a lot of people hate this song, and some of the rapping part is really retarded but when i heard it, i heard it this way.
Because they're rich and famous, they obviously tend to attract a lot of rich and famous guys. A lot of rich and famous guys, no matter how black and "gangster", tend to be spoiled, whiny, and selfish. I think they're saying they want a guy who's real and has really experienced the hardships in life, a guy whos about standing up for his girlfriend. They want a real man, not someone fake and glamorous.

I think that all u guys need to calm down and stop analyzing everything. Just because it's not poetry does not make the lyrics bad. You have to THINK about it, think about what he's saying, how he's saying it, and why he's saying it. If you spend all your time trying to compare bands to led zepplin, your gonna end up missing the whole point.
To me, when i hear this song, I picture from the point of view of an adult, you know the type of adult who sees kids and automatically thinks that we're out to vandalize, smoke, and destroy. I think this song is supposed to represent ignorance and the stereotypes that adults love to hate. |
