I think it's HILARIOUS that you Brits are concerned about American ignorance!! I'm Canadian, and honest to god can count on one hand the amount of American's I have met in my travels that know something about their neighboring country. I'm actually embarrassed for them. okay hello!! he's grouping americans together, not minorities.
this whole song talks about american's AS the terrorist, and references times where there has been conspiracy, and incidents some may have viewed as american terrorism.
747 is not talking about minorities so we can all stop thinking that he is singling ANY minorities out. Flight 77 is the plane that crashed into the pentagon.... pictures after the fact portrayed it as 747.... where did the plane and the people go?.... conspiracy? lupe seems to think so.
... i think people need to look into what he says at the beginning.. the ink of a scholar, is worth a thousand times more than the blood of a martyr.....
EDUCATE YOURSELVES PEOPLE! If you knew the un-biased history of the united states of america, you wouldn't be scratching your heads so much... |

lupe fiasco is not only genious, but is thoroughly educated on the realities and politics of the world. I am a 3rd year political science major and the things coming out of his mouth are incredibly accurate, well thought and controversial. When he speaks of macintosh marketin and osama and no bombin them" he is articulating our society as it is today (for example the corruption of globalization)- the entire song is his educated vision on the world and how it hurts his soul... This guy knows his shit.... Anyone know if he has been to universityy? |

I Love this song. There's something about it that hooked me in. The band is amazing as well. and Canadian. But I think this song is about a guy who's getting fucked around by the girl he's seeing. He's frusterated that she has the ability to make the confusion stop, but he wont leave or say anything. |
