Joni Mitchell – The Last Time I Saw Richard Lyrics | 18 years ago |
my favourite joni mitchell song. joni's defending her choice of waiting for perfection, even though it makes her sad at times. she's basically saying 'yeah, i might be on my own in this dark cafe, but he'll turn up eventually'. |
Joni Mitchell – My Old Man Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it's obviously about love. i particularly adore the part about when he's gone, the bed being too big, the frying pan being too wide. i think anyone who's ever been in love can completely identify with those lines. |
Joni Mitchell – Carey Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i love this song. although it isn't my favourite on the blue album, i listen to it a huge amount because it reminds me of travelling. she has the whole backpacking lifestyle down to a t. the idea of loving where you are, but missing home (and all that is familiar) at the same time. it's an unspoken traveller thing - i think all backpackers miss their 'clean white linen and fancy french cologne', but don't want to admit it! |
Joni Mitchell – Both Sides Now Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is about wearing your heart on your sleeve, and how people will look down on you, and judge you for doing so. She sings about the consequences of being so open with feelings. |
Joni Mitchell – A Case Of You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
