Gorgeous song...not really sure what it means though, assuming that it's not actually about a lighthouse. |

Interpol – The Scale Lyrics

One of my favorites off the new album...I've seen the lyrics posted as "Son, you sleep in clouds of fire" as opposed to "Sun, you sleep in clouds of fire." I wonder which one it is? |

The Long Blondes – Weekend Without Make-Up Lyrics

This, to me, seems like it's about a woman who's being cheated on by her significant other. "Another weekend without makeup" I think refers to how since there's no reason to get all done up, because she isn't going anywhere or seeing anyone important. When she asks, "Where do you go when you finish work?" she's accusing the other person, and "I don't like giving you the third degree" makes me think that she feels bad about suspecting, but has to know anyway. |

On the newer version of this song it goes:
Watch movies with the lights on, sit still, keep her tights on.
Didn't you see this one some time last week?
Fab song. Love love love this band. |

This song is fantastically gorgeous. Not quite sure about the meaning, but it makes me love Patrick even more than I did before (and I didn't think that was possible!) |

The Libertines – Up The Bracket Lyrics

I think that this song (probably unintentionally) foreshadowed the future in some ways (like a lot of Libertines songs). 'He doesn't see the danger on show'--Pete started doing drugs in the first place because he believed he was above the addiction. Just a thought. |

Sonic Youth – Reena Lyrics

I read somewhere that it's about Kim's "friendship" with another woman, and that the line "You keep me coming home again" probably refers to Thurston.
I love Kim's voice in this song. |
