This is my favorite off the new album by far, I love it =D
Most of it looks good, but there are a few things I hear differently. I agree that it's probably "cloak and daggers." There's an "I'm" before "torn in opposite directions" which makes me think that maybe "like a slasher film" goes with that line rather than the line above it, but i'm not sure. "The creepy calls" should be "the creepy crawlies."
The second iteration of the chorus should be the same as the third, not the first. Also, "A wicked" sounds like "and like a," and "heavens" might be "heather" (the plant, not the name =P) |

so this is random, but did anyone notice that the second measure has 7 beats? it's the ONLY one all song...
anyway, this song really creeped me out at first, but it's definitely grown on me (although it's still very weird) |

Maybe the sight is metaphoric, like saying he refuses to give up his vision for the future. then that would be why they "can't take it" away, because it's more mental than physiological.
i really like the more electric parts of the song, but the others not so much--the chromatics on the piano sound too whimsical for the subject matter. the lyrics are really beautiful, though |

my take on this song depends on whether the first verse happened before the second, or vice versa. because seeing someone at their graduation and falling in love is kinda sweet, but going to the graduation of a girl you love but don't know is creepy...and ludo have several creepy stalker songs as it is :P

i'm not too familiar with manson, so i can't say definitely, but i really don't think listening to him will change anyone's character or viewpoints. if there is, in fact, a correlation between listening to manson and 'sinning', i think it's the opposite: you find music to match your personality, you don't change your personality to match your music. if that's the case, your beliefs must not be very strong, and that's the parents' fault, not mtv's. |

i saw an earlier version of this song listed as "A Christian, Two Friends, and Some Spiders." For that reason, "How not to be saved" reminds me of how my christian friends used to always ask me if i was "saved," meaning had i accepted Jesus. maybe that's really off base, but i don't know where else Christianity comes in, unless the title's wrong...
i agree that it sounds like it's about the music industry, but it came out before OK Go (the cd), so i don't think it would be about c-c-c-cinnamon lips. |

yep, the title is a reference to the book. originally it was monstres invisibles, the title in french, but the spelling got screwed up on the import. or something like that...
